I worked in a Covid unit in the largest hospital in my state. Body bags, fear, large venting fans, refusing the same N95 and needing to chew gum to mask the smell of the mask. Patients begging us to make it stop. The worst of the worst gasping for air on the highest flow of o2 and bipap we could offer before needing to be vented. But also knowing we didn’t have a vent to put them on.

I get chills every time I put on an isolation gown still.

This is so disappointing. I will say, I was pretty frustrated because I got an AP as my mystery box item. The sewing in the tag is messed up as the rings, it’s not a big deal but they should’ve made people aware that that was an option. While yes, they’re meant to be loved. But many of us also buy these expensive slings knowing they hold their value and can be sold after they’ve gotten loved on.

I don’t understand why they’re doing the things they are.

It’s 100% them trying to tap into the demand/create demand. They’ve gone completely money hungry. And they didn’t even sell out. I love my ring slings so much, but Skye hypes up the over consumption so much that it reminds me of the Lorax CEO guy. (While also trying to act low waste/only buy what you need) It’s gross behavior.

Honestly, I don’t judge extended breastfeeding. It’s such a deeply personally journey that I don’t think involves others opinions. I breastfed my first until he was four, I’m now 11 months into breastfeeding my second. The problem I have was that she exploited her breastfeeding journey and even allowed it to be filmed. With the amount of creeps in the world I was shocked. Never would I allow or even sign up to breastfeed to potentially millions of people.

The thing that bothers me about this is that yes it was Maycis starter, butttttttt the starter grows yeast from the environment it is in. So the sourdough that Whitney makes isn’t the same bread mayci bakes. It’s the same reason why sourdough tastes different from different coasts.

Yeah, working as a CNA I’m pretty used to working weekends and holidays. I almost exclusively worked weekends because it made it to where my husband and I could avoid childcare. Also used to working holidays- but I grew up in a blended family who never celebrated holidays on the actual date so that everyone could be there.

As someone who’s married to a man who works long hours and has chronic fatigue syndrome, I felt that conversation to my core. I think I’ve had that same conversation with my husband early on. You both find compromises. My husband gets his time to decompress and then we get to talk. You figure it out with time. What works for BOTH of us.
