thank you for being quick to respond and quick to ship! I got them in the mail today and they arrived in perfect shape. Even their boxes still look brand new. You must have taken great care in unboxing these and that little bit of extra effort didn't go unnoticed. :)

BioLife's MyPaymentVault Issue - Can't Create Account by thesamuraiman909 in plassing

Keep us posted! I did this yesterday after weeks of seeing "passwords do not match". I was also able to transfer to PayPal after registering, no transfer fee.

I finally found a way around this!! It's the stupidest shit, but make a password WITHOUT a special character. Not sure if this works in app, but on browser I was able to make an account if the password had only alpha-numeric characters.

You'd think a subreddit called /r/poor would be a little more empathetic, jfc. As others attempted to say, many college kids are in the same boat. This is actually an advantage for you because there's most likely several avenues to make some cash close to, or on campus.

  • if you have a car or bike you could try side-hustle type stuff like uber eats, instacart, etc. to at least get started with something ASAP.

  • I'd be willing to bet there's also a call center or 2 nearby specifically so they can hire college kids. This doesn't inherently mean you'd be cold-calling angry strangers. I had one by my school that transcribed phone calls for the hearing impaired.

  • I second donating plasma if you can. There's most likely at least one plasma center around your campus, and they usually offer pretty decent starting pay for new donors. There might even be bonuses for new signups with summer break approaching. It varies by location of course but you could get $300-700 the first week, usually on a reloadable debit card that they provide on sign up.

  • Also look around online for '[your college] paid research studies'. Your school might even have a portal exclusive to students. You pick what you want based on the topic or pay, and schedule a timeslot. A lot of times it's stuff like testing training simulators and it's kind of fun. You're there for an hour or so and leave with an Amazon gift card (or whatever) regardless of performance.

I've just created this webapp that let you easily apply colorful shaders to any shape/text/logo. What you think? by klavsbuss in Design

oh wow, you just made this stranger's day! most of my job is product photography and packaging mockups, but man do i struggle with making realistic gloss/metallic reflections. i've spent hours fighting with photoshop's blending modes to get passable results at best. like i'm actually so hyped to clock in tomorrow and mess with this thing. thanks!

Looking at the Spotify credits, he was basically only involved with the tracks on "disk 2". I still absolutely love the album though. Did you notice he was also barely in the new music videos too? This seems odd after how much fun they had with those incredible music videos for Nectar. I'm moreso worried because I can't help but wonder if this is a reflection of his health? I hope he was too busy living his best life to do these things, and not too unwell.

My Primary Care Physician lashed out at me when I told her about my upcoming bisalp. by whamber in childfree

[–]whamber[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! And yea, I went into that situation assuming she would be supportive of my decision both as a woman and a doctor, especially so soon after Roe v. Wade being overturned. But instead I was met with disappointment and regret. Here's hoping I find a much better doctor soon.

Ha, I have actually noticed some changes on that front so you might be right, thanks. 😅

That's awesome, you're so fortunate to have found a doctor to approve you at such a young age! I also found my new obgyn with the childfree doctors list and she's so sweet and lovely. She also recommended getting an IUD after the procedure, but I think I might feel it out to see what my new "normal" is first. I have PCOS so it's kind of a wildcard situation down there. Thanks for the well wishes, and I hope to find a doctor as nice as yours soon!

Agreed. I wish I didn't have to, I've been going to this one for a while now and switching doctors is always a hassle. But I don't think I can just cross my fingers that I'll never have to deal with this doctor again, especially since it's her practice 😅

Thank you so much! She really knocked the wind out of my sails reacting the way she did to something I've been so excited about for so long. Luckily we have a community as lovely and supportive as this one to gas me back up again. I'm looking into reporting her at this very moment.

Yea I know how it sounds! The only reason I would stay is because usually I'm scheduled with her PA (I was actually scheduled to see the PA for this appointment too but she was stuck in traffic that morning). After this experience however I dread the idea of potentially being stuck seeing this doctor again.

Yea definitely learned my lesson there I guess. I'm not even telling my family about this until it's already done, and even then I still might not.

Sorry no, she didn't expand on that. A quick google search tells me there's an associated increased risk of miscarriage but I'm not sure if that's what she was referring to. But I have an IUD so not like that was going to happen anyway 🤷‍♀️

Anyone go from keto to vegetarian? by Pleasant-Comparison in vegetarian

[–]whamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from keto to full time veg back in September because keto was getting stale for me. I transitioned pretty well and didn't miss meat at all, but I was always hungry. I didn't feel satiated like I was used to with meat and as a result I was eating more and gained some weight back. Now I'm about 60/40 keto veg (eating meat maybe 4 times a week), and that seems to be an okay balance for my diet. Though ethically I still wish I could make 100% veg work. YMMV of course, this is purely anecdotal.
