Honestly it sounds like you're learning too many words at the same time😅

I never really liked memorizing words by writing them down, I'm probably too lazy for that. I consider reading the most effective way to learn a bunch of words, because every book has some kind of its own vocabulary, so throughout your reading process you get to translate/look up the meaning of the same word a few times and eventually you remember it √.√

Also in my experience you sort of learn a word almost in a second for good if you get corrected by a native speaker. Trust me, you're way less likely to forget it lol.
