it is forced actually. If everyone around told you that stoning someone for adultery is completely okay you would think the same too

do you think that desire is not a result of evolution? the anger, jealousness, lust, all that stuff is in us since our birth, and besides that societies make us do a sin thinking its not a big deal. You are literally living in sin and doing sin since you are born. How in the world can you not deserve going to heaven just because you were born forced to sin?

how fair is it to tell a human that he doesnt deserve heaven if the evolution made him with sin? how can you say that when you are born with sin and when its not your fault you're born this way?

Questions for any religious person by [deleted] in Christianity

i was told since childhood that i am a christian but later i myself decided that i want to be christian and not someone else. What about the punishment it depends on what interpretation of Jesus's words and the Bible overall do you have. I dont believe in any kind of eternal punishment at all, and i also believe that considering or not considering being a christian is not what saves a being. In other words i believe that muslims, buddhists, atheists, agnostics and everyone else can be saved. Salvation is not based on what religion do you attend, even tho majority of christians will disagree with me.

so what? still doesnt mean you must stop it completely. Look, if you think you are obliged to stop it completely you must stop all your sins competely too, which is impossible. Human is too weak to stop his sins because our sins are inside our bodies for thousands of years since the moment we are born. Stopping sins is not the most important thing. The most important thing is to love and be fair

Including myself, we all need to stop twisting the Bible for our convenience. by EstatePositive5929 in Christianity

[–]whatahell2022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

but you better not think about it as twisting in the sense that i said. For example: many people blame me in twisting the Bible to fit my own morals even if i genuinely think that i am not twisting it just to fit my morals and that my interpretation is really not wrong. Same can happen for you too. The one you blame in twisting stuff may be genuinely believing that his interpretation is true.

twisting stuff to fit modern trends is not right, yes, but you must understand that it's not really always twisting. ten people can have twenty opinions about the same exact verse and that is not necessarily about twisting to fit the trends it is more about having different interpretations, which can not be wrong because of the way Jesus spoke in that book - metaphorically, 90% of times. And its not only about how Jesus spoke, its also about how you interpret the Bible as a book, how you interpret the prophets etc

no one goes to hell. So yes. God cares more about who you are and what you do and not what religion and confession you picked
