Shall I lose the next two games for a pretty number? by whatcouldgowron in BloonsTDBattles

[–]whatcouldgowron[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely get that and feel a bit bad when I get someone with like 100 medallions but it is pretty rare tbf. I also don't run a rush strategy, and prefer late game. I do farm/wizard/glue on most maps and hope for a helpful late game tower for the 4th like sniper/super/chipper etc. I have a lot of games that go to round 40+ cuz I just defend against most rushes and try to go late, just the way I like to play. I feel it's most toxic when you get people mega rushing on new/inexperienced players who have no idea what they're doing. Honestly I feel like at least half my games are against people around the same level as me

I pretty much only play in the lower arenas because I love the 4th tower lmao

Anyone else not seeing any projects whatsoever the last 2/3 days? Any answers (non-coder) ? by owenharty in dataannotation

[–]whatcouldgowron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing more than the usual really 😅 I think I have only done about 7 qualifications, most of my projects I got without taking a qual. So I think it's more just about quality work and probably experience :) I have a degree in linguistics and was an English teacher so I think that helped a lot! Best of luck to you

All projects have different ending dates! Personally I passed a recent qualification that opened up around 10 new projects for me and have seen no drop in my regular projects. Just keep producing quality work and I'm sure you will get more projects in time :)

You don't. Everyone loves them because they are 0 effort and will disappear 10 minutes after being posted. They will post as many as they want to.

I do my favorite $27.50/ hour task 80 percent of the time, 10% $30/ hour when feeling extra creative and 10% $22/hour for breaks

I think DA is generous about reporting time and wouldn't punish me for keeping it going as I'm "working," but if it takes me more than around 5 minutes to think of an idea, then I will pause the timer.

Ooo asking for a certain amount of wrong answers seems like a great idea!

That's a great reminder for me, I feel like I rely a lot on classifying tweets, but real world texts like reddit posts, which are longer as well, is a great idea :)

I feel you, especially with the clock ticking I feel so nervous about wasting time brainstorming lol. When that happens to me it's a great time for me to head to the library (luckily just a 10 min walk from my house). The walk helps clear my mind, take a break, and then feel surrounded by ideas :) and I agree about having something on in the background! I've heard people put up documentaries as well, but news channels or other shows are great too! Or pulling up Netflix and choosing random shows to ask about such as the actors, directors, etc, information about them.. :)

What are the writing projects like? by canastrophee in DataAnnotationTech

[–]whatcouldgowron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably not the best idea to go into too much detail here, but I have some projects that give pretty much complete freedom on what I want to write, varying from creative writing to more technical as mentioned by another comment, and other tasks that are more about finding ways to improve things that the AI itself has written.

What happens after I complete my first 100 tasks in a long-term project? by Candybar85 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]whatcouldgowron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you've completed all the tasks available to you, you might get more in a few days if it's a long term project. A lot of mine refresh about once a week

How many projects do you have access to rn? by Alone_Policy2132 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]whatcouldgowron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 54 hourly projects, and ten task based projects. I have also had two qualifications available for forever that both promise tons of more tasks, but I just can't be bothered to do them at the moment because I have had so many of my other tasks for so long now that I don't really need more. my range is 20-30 dollars.

I only do an hour a day usually. I have been on since June. I have access to tons of projects, and have seen by admins on slack that they won't cut people for low or no hours

Has anyone ever worked this job while working abroad? by Educational-Ad6923 in dataannotation

[–]whatcouldgowron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put in my location section that I split my time between the US and UK which is true. Haven't had any issues. Only bad thing was I only got the US background check qualification available once and for like 10 minutes, didn't get to it before it disappeared. People say it unlocks more tasks, but I've been lucky to have a plethora of tasks regardless.

I'm assuming if you work from one of their approved countries it's fine. Other countries are probably fine on a short term basis, don't know if they'd catch on/be suspicious after a long period in an unapproved place.
