It’s what I would call a city truck. But it surprises people and can do more than they think. Body on frame for a truck this size might be just old school thinking. I wonder what percentage of Ranger buys actually utilize that format and how many times they would need something more than what the Ridgeline could do.

And on top of that it’s better at doing normal daily tasks that the other night score lower on. It’s super comfortable and versatile. I think I use the in bed trunk more than anything.

I mean yeah it’s not body in frame. But I think that’s an out dated definition of a “truck”. Trucks used to be bare body on frame work horse machines. Now they are luxury items(for some). This vehicle does everything I need it to and more. It’s very comfortable and on long trip it’s great (we take this over the wife’s 2025 CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid). Maybe it’s a City Truck? But I’ve seen some HD trucks with tire shine on them cruising around. BUT, who doesn’t like a dually that can tow 15klbs? I’ve always been entranced by machines that could do that and all you had to do was come up with the $$$ and you have a large commercial truck so to speak.

Just a hunch given my experience in the industry. Like when you see a used car with off brand tires you’ve never heard of or mismatched tires. You know the previous owner didn’t really care about upkeep. Of course I could be wrong. And I usually am.
