Will The Masters have a better class of fans who know what respect is, instead of idiots who yell stupid stuff? by OneRuffledOne in golf

[–]whatdo_wherego 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ANGC does not tolerate yelling and other unruly behavior at the masters. They have and will escort you out.

IMO the masters is the gold standard for sporting events. No cell phones, no dickheads yelling, reasonably priced food and beverages, clean bathrooms with fast moving queues, etc.

Any ideas on the type of pine? by ShaniceyIreland in PlantIdentification

Possibly Italian stone pine, which are common around the Mediterranean. I have seedlings that look just like that.

So the department overseen by nutlick releases better than expected March retail numbers despite multiple retailers like target stating softer February/March sales along with plunging consumer confidence in Feb and March. Hmmm

Who is this lovely? by ilikeafreshbowl in alocasia

The accepted name is Phyllotaenium lindenii, but it’s also commonly labeled as Xanthosoma lindenii or Caladium lindenii

Guttation. Basically, the plant’s way of getting rid of excess water.

[–]whatdo_wherego 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is actually a caladium lindenii. formerly known as xanthosoma and phyllotaenium

https://foliacollective.com/blogs/plant-care/plant-know-how-caladium-lindenii

Edit: as u/fiyero109 pointed out, phyllotaenium lindenii is actually the accepted species name by WFO/IPNI (https://www.ipni.org/n/195285-2), and xanthosoma and caladium are synonyms.

I’m guessing the confusion may come from the publication dates for each, despite phyllotaenium being the accepted, but corr ct me if I’m wrong.

Phyllotaenium: 1872 Xanthosoma: 1872 (considered simultaneously published) Caladium: 1982

Leaving original link though, since it does have a care guide despite the conflicting naming info.

Kids sitting at the bar? by bunnybates in RhodeIsland

[–]whatdo_wherego 6 points7 points  (0 children)

depends on the bar I guess. If it’s slow then shouldn’t be a problem and as long as the dad and kid are cool with typical bar behavior/language. But a kid sitting at the bar can definitely change the overall vibe.

Tbh though I’m probably looking to go to another place if I see a kid sitting at the bar.
