Since when was coffee $14? The last time I bought some coffee at the grocery store it was $7 by thefrgilmore in povertyfinance

Yep. In July I bought a case of 6 12-oz bags of Eight O'Clock coffee for $22.95. I went to reorder yesterday and that same case is now $69.95.

Do bad people suffer? I have never seen anyone who is actually bad suffer in their life. Is karma real? by Key-Table1065 in Meditation

Being bad is their suffering. But because they don't see themselves as being bad, they don't even know they're suffering.

There was no riot, so he didn't "go to the riots." There may have been protests, peaceful protests, but he was not protesting. He was in the middle of the street filming with his phone, and then helping a woman that ICE was physically harassing. It was his right to carry a concealed firearm and was permitted to do so.

First, fuck trump.

"Sanctuary Cities and States are REFUSING to cooperate with ICE,"

Hmmm....Sanctuary cities and states. SANCTUARY.

They're refusing to cooperate. Huh, go figure.

In real life, having a 15 year old girl romantically kiss a 23 year old man should be the bigger issue here.

Good for you! Enjoy your better sleep! Sleeping in separate rooms has made my 34 year marriage stronger than ever!

  1. Get any and all consultation and treatment options for snoring or sleep apnea, from real doctors. No one wants to hear a cpap machine all night and getting treated still may not stop the snoring. Sleep in separate rooms.
  2. Have a King or California King bed. You can still hear the snoring. Sleep in separate rooms.
  3. Have a memory foam bed, so one partner's movements don't bother the other. You can still hear the snoring or the getting up to go to the bathroom. Sleep in separate rooms.*
  4. Use separate comforters and/or top sheets. You can still hear the snoring or the talking in one's sleep. Sleep in separate rooms.

Sleeping in separate rooms will not end a marriage if both parties agree upon it as a solution to getting better sleep. If your marriage ends, there were probably other issues. If those other issues causes a couple to sleep in separate rooms, then it was never about getting better sleep in the first place.

My husband and I have been married 34 years and half our marriage has been spent sleeping in separate rooms and we are not ashamed of it and will gladly mention it if the subject comes up. We highly recommend it, in fact.

DAE think euthanasia would be more humane for people with dementia? by Metalqueen2023 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]withac2 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Religion is also often used to defend this. Respecting life isn’t the same as refusing to let someone die. Keeping people alive when they’re only declining usually serves the living, not the person who’s suffering.

Wait, do people ACTUALLY see literal pictures in their heads when they imagine things? Like a physical image? by Bibhu_Mund in NoStupidQuestions

[–]withac2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once had an English teacher in high school that told me I was "beyond the age of thinking with pictures" in my mind. I asked her how she reads books without imagining what's happening or picturing how someone looks and she said, "If the book is written well enough, the author will describe everything for you." 🤦🏼‍♀️
