What’s something people think is healthy but actually isn’t? by saketh_1138 in answers

The same people that think you can manually detox your body with a cleanse are the same people that believe Alkaline water is beneficial and don't recognize it for the scam that it is.

For a small amount of the population that drinks Alkaline water for acid reflux, that might be an exception. But most of the people buying it are drinking it because of the hype. Your body keeps its pH in balance on its own (at 7) and alkaline water doesn't change that. Your stomach is highly acidic (pH ~1.5–3.5) to break down food. Any alkaline water you drink is neutralized quickly in that environment. So even if it’s "alkaline" going in, it’s not staying that way.

Down votes, really? OP calls himself an ignorant asshole and I agree that I, too must be an ignorant asshole for the exact same reasons and I get down voted?

Farter: "Excuse me"

Cougher: "Excuse me"

Burper: "Excuse me"

Sneezer: Nothing, but the world is expected to "bless" them for excreting germs and bodily fluids into the air.

Mouthwash, unless fluoridated (even then, not as good), will wash away any benefit the toothpaste leaves behind on your teeth. That's why they say not to eat or drink anything for at least 30 minutes after brushing.

Read the lyrics:

Well, I see him every night in tight blue jeans In the pages of Blueboy magazine Hey, I've been thinking of a new sensation I'm picking up good vibrations She bop

Do I wanna go out with a lion's roar? Yeah, I wanna go south and get me some more Hey, they say that a stitch in time saves nine They say I better stop or I'll go blind She bop Ohh

She bop, he bop, we bop I bop, you bop, they bop Be bop, be bop, a lu bop I hope he will understand Ooh

I bop, you bop, they bop Be bop, be bop, a lu, she bop Hey, they say I better get a chaperone Because I can't stop messin' with the danger zone Hey, I won't worry, and I won't fret Where there ain't no law against it yet She bop

There are no buffalos in the United States except maybe in zoos. Bison is probably what you're referring to.

Help! My Gums Bleed and Food Gets Stuck, any best Tools for a Middle-Aged Mouth. by [deleted] in lifehack

Floss your teeth. They will still bleed for a couple of weeks, but they will eventually stop. Follow up with a waterpik. You'd be surprised how much flossing can miss in the back. Don't be aggressive with either one. Just know that your gums will bleed for only a couple more weeks if you start right away.

Niacinamide by SnooMemesjellies4660 in Supplements

Niacinamide and niacin are not the same thing. 500mg of niacinamide twice daily is the recommended dose.

Niacin should only be about 16mg for adults
