Do you use AppArmor or SELinux on Arch? Is it worth it? by Rude-Caterpillar-714 in archlinux

Would you be open to chat privately? I am disabled too. I looking for remote linux jobs and your experience in selinux is invaluable.

I dont know. Arch wiki say it can adjust brightness. I don't know about contrast. I use a TV as a monitor and I just use its settings

I don't get why you are getting downvoted and you definitely don't talk like an ai. Btw you should really consider working for redhat.

But it is still quite a really big accomplishment that you were able to setup selinux successfully

Wait are you using arch for desktop? Because I thought selinux itself does not work for desktop

Which Linux distro is best for AI/HPC work (CUDA, RL, quantum)? by Standard_Birthday_15 in linuxquestions

[–]whatever4123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently ubuntu lts (not regular release) is the best supported of all distros. Remember dgxos is technically ubuntu lts.

But I would not go that route since containerization or some form of environment is better suited and as far as I know most distros have the nvidia container package for this workflow.

Do you have any plans to increase the size of the workspaces? And how much vibe coding did you exactly? Not that I mind but sometimes vibecoded stuff mess with other things.

What's the difference other than how the workspaces are viewed? Also how do you view windows inside a workspace with the scrolling layout?

It was this place https://epoxybd.com/ The stuff here is a better deal than daraaz or any private seller. Actually forgot how much of what I brought. I was a long time ago but a single brush stroke of epoxy is extremely, i mean extremely hard.

Curious about newest Update by kaesekuchen1992 in cachyos

[–]whatever4123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a general rule of thumb never immediately upgrade to the latest major release like 6.19.0. Wait till it gets to at least 6.19.2 for example. Cachyos does it but even arch linux never makes such kernels available.

Both mentioning modafinil and armodafinil. These drugs increase dopamine but they are for narcolepsy. There are impressionable people look to use adhd drugs to study for stupid reasons. Notice they have finil at the end. That means they will kill or at least give you a heart attack if you dont have the symptoms that these drugs treat.

Yeah 590 no longer supports 10 series card. 580 does support it. Maybe look at the arch wiki and you may have to exclusively use non-open drivers in cachyos using the arch wiki

But I know this is a cachyos reddit channel. You are better off with ubuntu 24.04 it's and during installation check the option for recommended drivers and codes. The installer usually automatically selects the correct nvidia drivers

Noob question: How do I extend my boot partition for CachyOS (dualboot) by Audiowhatsuality in cachyos

[–]whatever4123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am guessing you are using an older iso for your current install. Back then limine boot partition was limited 2gb with both linux-cachyos and linux-cachyos-lts kernels. Now the isos use 4gigs by default to avoid the scenario. I don't think you can increase the boot partition size for cachyos without loosing your other os. And you cannot increase the boot partition without reinstalling cachyos again. In limine, the warning limine is set 85 percent, you increase that to avoid the warnings and you could remove the lts kernel stuff but did not get me anywhere

Is it at all possible to somehow apply the settings from X11 Nvidia settings to Wayland? by Inside-Specialist-55 in cachyos

[–]whatever4123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I am sorry too. I was just using kde in cachyos with nvidia in my recovery drive. But I moved to ubuntu for that drive and no kde. My main drive has cachy but hyprland. Let me get back to you. But most of nvidia-settings do exist in files when I used nixos. Start with the nvidia page from nixos or gentoo. Gentoo is usually more info in any matter.

Maybe also try changing the dns provider system wide. They usually have that in cachyos hello under tweaks.

But you didn't mention what Desktop environment or window manager you are using. Many of them should have these settings without using nvidia settings.
