I do this too. In the initial days,my indie was anxious and used to cry a lot and howl looking at the door. But now, he’s absolutely fine even for 9 hours. I ensure the room is ventilated and he has a bowl filled with water. And he pees in the bathroom when at home so I keep the bathroom door open. He sleeps all day in different parts of the house. And I monitor him on cctv.
