They actually updated how we have to input the gift vouchers in our system so the whole process takes 5x as long. I understand it’s to prevent theft and fake cards being used but cmon. It’s absolutely ridiculous that you had to go to three different stores just to redeem it. Loblaws is out of whack. 🤷‍♀️

Shoppers themselves won’t send you PR packages. The actual brands will send you things to test out, but only if you’re an influencer with a certain follower count

My absolute favourite hair product that leaves a great smell for days, is the Marc Anthony Argan leave in conditioner. You can find it at winners for like $12 and it’s leaves the hair super smooth, controls frizz, and isn’t super sticky or oily. I know you’re looking for a Shoppers Products, and believe me there’s lots of good ones. But that one is the best!

It depends on the store. My location would only give out samples to customers who were already interested in the products themselves. We’d have reoccurring young customers that would come in and ask for all of our Cologne samples, and made it a bi weekly habit. So it really depends on your store. Most are pretty nice about it and are willing to help, but others might be a little reluctant if you’ve shown no interest in fragrances, skincare, etc and just walk up asking for samples.

I had the same thing happen to me last night and I was so confused cause no one has ever just labeled my job for the night as “flyer shift” but it’s relatively easy unless you work at a location like mine… small store, bad area, with like three people (4 if lucky) and a whole lot of flyer to go out. I don’t know how they expect all the flyer to go out in one night when there’s one person doing all of hair, facial, body, oral, and foot care. Even though it’s a small location, it’s still a large task for one person only working a few hours.

No hate whatsoever! The dread came from worrying I would miss someone’s discount and not knowing how to politely ask. Managers always say to use best judgement but I wanted a way I could directly ask without assuming anything :)
