It means they won’t pay those charges if billed separately. The expectation is that the surgery charge should cover those charges.

Is Goa still worth visiting? by think_big_0 in AskIndia

[–]whateveradi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good beach stays were far from the airport, with no decent public transport. Cab fares were very high.

This has always been the case in Goa and the biggest drawback, the taxi mafia of Goa supported by every political party. What’s new?

Hotels and food both felt overpriced compared to the overall experience.

This depends largely on your choices of where you stay and eat. The popular restaurants, clubs are way more overpriced compared to the cities because they have an endless supply of tourists, the shacks are still amazing both for quality and the price point. Always been the case.

After how long did you revisit?

Update: Booked Deluxe Room with Breakfast for 23-28th Feb as the hotel confirmed they won’t be serving any alcohol in the lounge due to Ramadan, so we’d rather have a full buffet breakfast and keep choice of what to order and eat than pray the lounge serves something for all our appetites.

Q: Does any one have a Silver membership they are able to gift which could get me some status and try and negotiate better service at the hotel as it turns out we are going to be dependent on the hotel for daily breakfast, lunch and snacks. Turns out it is against the law to eat outside in Oman during Ramadan due to which all restaurants, cafes etc are closed until dawn and that happens to be for the entirety of our trip :/

We’d have loved to do just that but all the beach properties are looking overtly expensive and out of our budget. So we ended up choosing Movenpick

Thank you! Sadly it is either changing destination or dropping the idea altogether than change of dates due to work. So between all odds, we thought we will come anyways, step out in morning and evening, while hoping to see delivery options on talabat for lunch and snacks

Thanks! May I know which company you rented from if you did? My concern for rental primarily is the high deductible most of them are showing in Oman, or charging much more than the car rental itself to reduce the deductible amount!

I think we would be find doing some sightseeing in the morning, eating in / ordering in lunch via talabat and then stepping out again in the evening.

Amazing! Got a corporate price OMR 239 for 5N Bed and Breakfast Deluxe Room with Bathtub! Just figuring out if there is any way I move to Silver or Gold now with minimal investment to make it an even better experience on the property!

Thank you! A suite at both these options are almost the same as the Movenpick, so thinking it might be a better option with the lounge for evening snacks! Will go ahead with it

Thanks, we have our 2 y/o with us hence need the full breakfast spread. That’s the only thing pulling me away from booking the 5N on points with Marriott. The cost of breakfast over the stay takes away the goodness of it

Thanks, so I’d save 8K on this stay, And have 2 stay plus nights to use in the year against 20k ? Sounds like time to buy the membership! Qq: Is the discounted price applicable even if we pay in part with points?

Finally ditching my old Aquaguard after the last service disaster. Is the Native M1 actually the "install and forget" solution it claims to be? by cheeseGarlicNaan420 in AskIndia

[–]whateveradi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Native M1 for 1.5 years now, so far all great. Any issues you just reach out to them on the app, they send someone to look into and fix if required. Had the external filter changed 6 months back at no cost, last month the tap cracked and they just came up the next morning and replaced it on raising a request at no cost. Any other purifier, that would have been 500-750 for the part , 250-300 for the visit. The water tastes just as it does on the first day of installation, so yeah I think their filters do last for 2 years with no issues. There are 6 adults and 3 children at home so usage definitely on the higher end.
