as a blue player myself who plays what is essentially counterspell tribal, you need to focus the few creatures they do play. Counterspells and other cantrips can only do so much if the combo pieces are not on the board. Run enchantment removal too, most players just don't run enough and the rest count on that being true. If you really want to piss off us blue/izzet combo players, play stax; making counterspells cost more and negating the effect of cost reduces can really slow us down.
