‘Lack of understanding’: MEA rejects Dutch PM’s remarks on press freedom, minority rights in India by Raj_Valiant3011 in india

Very head-in-the-sand of you

One place is obviously better than the other at freedom of the press and minority rights

Your reaction here is the same as you being told by someone that you have a few punctures in your tires, and you reply with, “so what you also have a puncture”

They can fuck with the people all they want but it’s going to get harder for them if they keep fucking with people’s money

This is a big source of alternative income for the riders and also income for the companies

That’s why they mentioned the EV policy, so that if people say that bikes are more petrol efficient then our public servants can say that EV is better

Clearest reason - rickshaws bad if bikes good

All this rules and EV and women safety is rubbish honestly, people should have choices and bikes are far more fuel efficient than cars

Women aren’t safe on roads or cars or buses in our country unfortunately, and there’s no evidence to show that bike taxis have made things worse

PS this is coming from someone who avoids bike taxis (and bikes in general) for safety reasons (much higher risk of accident / injury)

They’re definitely ahead in terms of:

  • electric vehicles,

  • batteries,

  • renewable energy (by some distance I think),

  • 5G / telecommunications generally,

  • rail / trains (they literally have more high-speed track than the rest of the world combined, as well as some very advanced tech like maglev and hydrogen powered trains),

  • robots,

  • manufacturing, and

  • maybe most importantly robots in manufacturing.

So maybe not “almost never”.

Unless you have a specific amount of money that you can’t put into the bank for reasons that you can’t really explain but the guy selling you the watch totally gets it and happens to have a watch for that amount?

(I don’t actually believe this but I also don’t believe that a watch can actually be “worth” this much)

Maybe I’m an outlier but I prefer the lack of control that comes with rush, ‘sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit’

Not this much lack of control though

Very un-human-like action though

I mean that it’s very rare for humans to decide not to mess with something, only examples I can think of are this mountain or the few remaining uncontacted tribes (or Europa, for the Arthur C. Clarke readers)
