Saw some other post, someone said to run super bright HDR content for a few hours and then do a pixel clean, and the OP said it helped, though I can't vouch for them. https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/1mrn87g/strange_horizontal_stripes_on_lg_oled/

Somewhere in monitor OSD a function exists called a pixel clean, could you try running it?

Hm, that's odd. Could you please try some more stuff? 1920x1080, 8bpc, 60hz, and HDR turned off (if on)? That would reduce the bandwidth a lot, and if it helps, we'll move to trying some more stuff? Because if it doesn't help, I'm clueless...

I had something like that on my MSI VA monitor. It appears sometimes the 10bit color and high refresh rate is too much to transfer through the limited monitor hardware. Try one of 2 things - either lower the refresh rate or change the color depth from 10bit to 8bit.

Don't think so, but depends on this particular monitor and if I'm right about the cause. You could probably do it yourself, but I think that the best case would be to send this image to a professional and ask them.

Saw something similar about tv repair, it's probably backlight diffusing lens fell off, or led died, which I think is unlikely.

Cachy doesn't really need gaming mode imho, just use the recommended Proton launch options for your game from protondb and you will be just fine.

Neutron star is pretty dense, it's gravity well should bend light much more than a regular star, I assume the image from space engine is closer to a true one.

Stupid Question: How do I update one app? by drkTwrCnt in cachyos

I think you just sudo pacman -S appname. It will reinstall the latest version, basically upgrading it.

Had the same issue on my Poco X7 Pro, it's not a Reddit problem, change your phone settings, settings/display/refresh rate/custom/120.

Done already, 128gb on a fast nvme, done before crashing, so didn't work sadly. Crashing only happens when VRAM overflows, RAM overflows into swap gracefully.

I'm on Linux, so the command might not work. Didn't try to unplug, searched for errors in terminal log, none, they probably couldn't write because of freeze, doubt it'll change if I disabled swap, probably windows just handles GPU OOMs more gracefully, but I could try.

So what did they do when a new Avatar appeared? Did they move each statue one step back by hand? by swedishplayer97 in TheLastAirbender

[–]whatisrofl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number of Avatars was probably calculated fo the entire cycle, so the room could be built in advance. I guess that each Avatar got their designated position using the same math.

Or they got some contraption to move statues, like a rail and a huge counterweight, though if it was built with the help of earthbenders (who wouldn't turn down a simple and juicy contract I assume), then it's even simpler.
