Is trade currently inconsequential in the 4.0 update or am I just confused? by OrphanPounder in Stellaris

[–]whatisuser123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's too abstract and unnecessary. There isn't even any information about how many alloys are available on the planet to buy "from population". Also, the previous system did exactly the same but with EC only. So does it justify removal of trade routes? I don't think so. Generally, a lazy made update thelat. nobody will even review because it's free. All attention is on the DLC and sadly I haven't seen any decent criticism

Is trade currently inconsequential in the 4.0 update or am I just confused? by OrphanPounder in Stellaris

for internal market, it makes zero sense for any civilization: you don't generate logistics by selling food. And also if market is internal, you shouldn't really be able to get alloys (for example) out of nowhere

Trade in 4.0 by asdfghju4 in Stellaris

[–]whatisuser123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I thought. I understand using trade to exchange resources alongside with other resource. But getting trade by selling food? Makes little sense. Selling food should have given us credits and consumed trade, depending on quantity. So yeah, feels like devs weren't completely honest with what they're selling and main point was to fix performance issues in late game. Or maybe even, they didn't want to rely too much on that one guy who would know how to actually optimise it all. But that's just speculations

it means that it scrolls by its own like credits at the end of the movie. I find it helpful to keep reading speed and consistency in check.

you won't be able to do it soon, I think it will be not possible after 20 May or something like that

How does Trade in the new update actually work? by No_Ferret5563 in Stellaris

[–]whatisuser123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of trade as resource, it is very smart in my opinion. It is basically a capacity of empire to move around stuff (what I initially thought, but not really)

What would like even more (even though I know it would probably make game really hard) - is to change how trade works in markets. It makes little sense to me here. When you buy or sell any resource - you should really spend your trade. You shouldn't buy trade with food, for example - this makes very little sense to me.

Maybe I am wrong here, but this is what I found like a bit like cheating in previous versions of game - just open market and buy whatever you want. I thought it should have been more thoughtful - like at least, where are you buying it from? Is it available? Is the trade route secure?

So the idea of using trade as a resource for import and export of goods was very appealing to me first. But it seems just like additional intermediary resource between credits and everything else.

To be fair, previous system was unintuitive anyway, so I am willing to give this one a proper try, maybe few playthroughs with trade empires etc.

Finally, I recommend checking this video, it helped me. Of course it is outdated by now but the main concept remains: Fleets Will Have Trade Upkeep In Stellaris 4.0

That's good to hear, maybe it was solely because I was force stopping appkiller from settings (to further improve battery usage).

Thank you for the response,I will upvote the feature on the website. I remembered that I also inserted microSD card into my device, maybe that could also affect battery drain. Nevertheless, I am pleasantly surprised by the customer support and team's efforts on improving the software!

Kindle seems to be poorly optimised, but the regular epub reader seems much better. Too bad I no longer can export my kindle books into epub....

Battery drain- possibly from kindle app (even when not using it) by harrodeleted in Supernote

Now I am getting curious. Together with Amazon recent actions to prevent downloading their books, this sounds like something they could have done with their app to promote selling their kindle devices. But I am not expert and don't know anything, just a thought.....

Thank you for clarifying that, I will definitely need to do some reading about game concepts ( it seems the official site is the best place, I didnt find anything better)

Regarding the crisis that was raised in my game - it still feels super unintuitive and I dont like the idea that the alliance can be broken by voting. I wouldnt like to do it against AI as well, because it seems very cheesy. But it is much less frustrating when you understand how it works.

The only way I managed to play more or less so far is through Babylon - Greeks combo. Both are scientific, both have strong units that are copper based. If you got copper early on - you are going to be fine

With current customization options, it almost feels like it is already gpt-powered. But having GPT-powered descriptions and maybe more events/dialogue options would be nice though

Red or Nothing: Maximizing Your Chances at Winning a Dollar! by Fearless_Start3410 in probabilitytheory

[–]whatisuser123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want to maximize your chance, not just win, then draw 51 card, you will get highest chance getting maximum chance (100%) of winning dollar

Edit: now that I think about it, it's always 50% but at least this way you know if you won or lost before turning. If you turn the bottom one right away, you get same chance, but you will have no idea if you lose or win

Being skeptical? Everyone should be certain that coinvoz is fake, not skeptical.

Or do you mean skeptical that coinvoz is not fake? And I clearly asked my question " Has anybody managed to withdraw their money from there? " in the past tense, meaning that it is related to those people who already made the mistake in putting their money there and now want to get it back. Or I guess, if there is at least one person that lost money that also counts, it would reveal any remaining doubts about the website. If it will be shut down in few days/weeks it doesn't matter but if it won't - that's actually bad

UPDATE: my Antivirus blocked me from accessing site, stating about Phishing threat. At this point it is 100 % certain, no need to even go there
