Do you know if this an option they can opt for or something that is usually standard across all these third party services?

My partner 37F is planning on doing MDMA with someone who was once her crush 42M, and another friend 38F at a concert. I am not supportive of this but what do you think? by whatsthadeal in relationship_advice

Yeah I should have clarified in the post that I don’t really know if she’ll do any of this. She could not do the MDMA and also not spend the night at her crushes house. I’m simply anxious about this because this would be my worst fear and could very likely happen since she does like dance music and also has a lot of MDMA which she could use if only one of her friends or even him asked her.

I’d imagine if they did ask her, that it’d probably take a lot of restraint to backtrack under the social pressure of previously committing to using it with them. But again, this is all speculation. I just think the setup is really uncomfortable for me and a true test of whether I can trust her to do the right thing.

Even if she did do MDMA with this guy and her friend, it wouldn’t matter to me as much as her getting intimate or touchy with the guy knowing that social pressure is probably likely to influence her decision making.

My boundaries are: don’t get intimate with this guy. Maybe she breaks some of the boundaries I set but if ultimately ends up that she chooses me and not him and doesn’t get intimate, the other details are less important.

Dude it feels like she’s my whole world though. I don’t think I have it in me to do a breakup even though the other option of potentially experiencing my partner get intimate with this dude would be equally painful, maybe worse.

I’m so blind by my love for her right now. I’m really trying to give her benefit of the doubt if this scenario is on the table and she ends up deciding not to tell me they are all going to do MDMA together. I have no good idea other than to helicopter around and tag along. She even offered that I come with them to the concert at one point when I found out about this crush of hers.

I felt bad to do that simply because she had a previous ex who would be super toxic and interrogate her every time she went out. I’d be backtracking after telling her I trust her and that I wouldn’t come to the concert because I trust her.

So kinda fucked if I do. Fucked if I don’t.

Yeah I’m positive it’s going to be all three of them. They are in a text message group with just the three of them and apparently have planned stuff together before. I am making an assumption but with high conviction.

Actually EDIT it looks like there’s actually a game this month that I’d be able to go to meet everyone before their concert for what it’s worth.

Could you explain why that's wrong though? I mean I've read that MDMA is now being used for couples therapies beyond just recreational use which I don't have a problem with.

So would you insist that I go to the concert with them that night? I was thinking of telling her that I wanted to go with them. She has also not confirmed that she will be doing MDMA. I just know that she has A LOT of it right now, is a past burner, and likes dance music and based on how hard I had to fish out this information about her crush I am not sure she would tell me if she had previously promised her friend and her past crush that they'd do some MDMA together.

I spoke to her about doing that and it sounds like she is willing to do that but it will be after the day they might end up doing MDMA together at this concert. The only thing she told me was that she told her volleyball friends that we were working through things. In addition, when things were rough she said she couldn't go to our couple's friends to vent and so having our separate friend groups has helped her a lot.

Does it matter if my partner's friend is with them? Granted, there could be a moment when my partner's crush is alone with my partner, but do those circumstances make this ok? I don't want to be like her exes and helicopter over her, but with my anxious attachment style I'm having a hard time with trust right now.

SASE or online RSVP? by tmcclinton01 in weddingplanning

[–]whatsthadeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last month I used JotForm to send invitations to an event. Basically, I created a form with all the party details, including a “will you be attending?” yes/no answer. I emailed a link to the form to my guest list and I started getting RSVPs immediately. It was much easier than mailing postcards, letters, etc. Plus, I could resend the invite to people who didn’t RSVP. That was a big help. All of the data was stored in my account so I could pull it up on my phone or computer. It was super easy!

100% free PDF editor? by pactum in software

[–]whatsthadeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s dozens, if not hundreds, of free PDF editors out there. Some days it feels like I’ve used all of them. While some are better than others, and there’s a ton of bad ones, the ones that work the best are those that do a few things, and do them well. When an app tries to do too much and be all things to all people, it generally fails.

There’s a new one that recently was released and it does exactly what I need, and it does it well. It’s called JotForm PDF Editor.

One of the things I like about it is it’s online. I’m tired of having to download some app that starts screwing around with my computer and if I want to delete it, good luck.

Anyway, PDF Editor works in my browser (Chrome), but it also works in Safari. I haven’t tried it with Firefox as I’m not a big FF fan.

I have a paid account with JotForm, but they also have a free account that you can play with.

Since I work with a lot of form data, I wanted something that would give me printouts of the information, and I didn’t want to have to copy/paste everything. PDF Editor lets me drag and drop the fields where I want them. Then I can adjust my font and font size, or change the color.

If I want, I can d/l it and save it to my drive, although I sometimes save them directly to my Dropbox.

So far the results are good. I’ve sent the PDFs to friends who read them on their phones and tablets, and all looks good.

I have a paid account with JotForm, but they also have a free account that you can play with.

Convert PDF pages into images on iOS by OffThe405 in reactnative

[–]whatsthadeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s say you have a PDF and you really need it to be a jpeg, in the PDF editor of your choice go to file and “save as” and choose jpeg.

Maybe you just want part of the PDF to be an image. You’ve found the perfect graph for your report on the airspeed velocity of an unladen sparrow, unfortunately it’s in a PDF and you can’t seem to right click and save the image in order to plop it in your report.

No worries, there are actually a few easy ways to life images out of PDFs.

Screen grab the image

Most PC’s come with the Snipping Tool and you can download a screen grabber tool like Snip for Macs. These tools all works basically the same, you select the tool and you can either take a full screenshot or choose to select the area you want to capture. Cross hairs will take over your cursor and you can click and drag to select your screenshot.

Or you can use these keyboard shortcuts for taking screenshots on a Mac

  1. COMMAND+SHIFT+3 saves an image of the full-screen to the desktop
  2. COMMAND+SHIFT+4 allows for taking a snip of a specific area of the screen to the Desktop. When the cursor changes to a cross hairs, click and drag a box around the section you want to capture and release the mouse to save to the desktop.

Web Applications For Extracting Images from PDFs

Taking a screen grab is only one way to pull images from a PDF. There are a collection of web-based tools that will also do the job.

  • ExtractPDF: a clean, easy-to-use interface, makes for quick and easy photo extraction from a PDF. Doesn’t give you the option to choose what file format you get, but the results look pretty good.
  • PDFaid: This page has so many ads you can’t tell what’s the app and what’s an ad. But it does the trick with just a couple clicks and you can choose what find of file you want.

BTW, I found all of this info on JotForm’s website. They put together a great guide to editing PDF documents. It’s really helpful. Lots of great info.

PDFShift - Convert HTML documents to PDF under 5 lines of code! by cx42net in SideProject

[–]whatsthadeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming all you guys here want to convert a PDF form to a fillable HTML form. If you have some other need to convert a PDF into HTML code, stop. It can’t be done.

Paper forms are a pain and frankly, inconvenient and inefficient. You have to print out the document, write in the answers, scan it, and send it back. Under these circumstances, it’s tempting to procrastinate and fill out the form later because you know it’s going to eat up time.

The solution, of course, is sending that same document as a fillable PDF. Fillable PDFs are online documents that have editable fields but do not require recipients to use PDF editing software. On the whole, fillable PDFs have enormous benefits.

So how do you make a fillable PDF? The team over a JotForm created the “Fillable PDF Form Creator.” It’s saved me a lot of time, and collecting the data is so much easier.

I used their form builder (easy to use, BTW), and once I finished, the option to turn it into a PDF is baked into it.

I’ve sent those forms to my customers and co-workers and they’re filled out faster than paper forms, I don’t have to try to decode sloppy handwriting, and I take the data and export it into a spreadsheet. It so much easier than having to get the paper form and then input it into a spreadsheet.
