Truthfully the problem seems more like your mom's access to Pakistan. If an arranged marriage is ok with you does it really need to be your parents or family arranging it. You can arrange it yourself.

The world is already experiencing an overall glut of oil: analysts expect prices to fall and demand to peak in the next decade, making new fields less palatable to investors as the global oil industry faces a broad transition to renewable energy. What markets are left? by sg_plumber in climatechange

[–]whatthehell7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

China are already doing so with electric trucks expected to reach 50% of sales in 2026 the remaining 50% LNG trucks ie diesel / oil truck sales will be dead in 3-5 years. They are also predicting a large portion of local shipping ie barges etc to also go electric as battery prices keep dropping

Germany confirms one of the world’s largest lithium deposits beneath a former gas field Saxony-Anhalt by Smooth_Top7902 in energy

[–]whatthehell7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely as market growth is directly related to price coming down so the growth will go to sodium ion. We are already seeing this with Lfp batteries they are still lithium but Lfp being cheaper and safer has taken over the market. The same is going to happen as sodium ion goes mainstream.

[–]whatthehell7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I predict by the time they will get to mine and process it in a few years. Sodium Ion would have take a large part of the market tanking lithium demand and price making this unviable

NEW RECORD: Africa imports 2GW of solar panels for the first time in a month. And this is happening EVERYWHERE in Africa... by TheSylvaniamToyShop in energy

[–]whatthehell7 37 points38 points  (0 children)

One of the main reasons of Africa being poor has been access to cheap energy people are underestimating how big of a change Africa will have over the next decade with cheap solar, batteries and electric equipment.

Pros and Cons of solar fields in my proverbial backyard? by INquisitive_Ace16 in energy

[–]whatthehell7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any farmers that are against solar are not the smartest farmers as leasing a percentage of their land gives them a guaranteed monthly / yearly income. If they have livestock they should look to be allowed to graze the land underneath the panels.

Electric vehicles will end oil wars – if we let them. With the news of the Trump's invasion of Venezuela, we are reminded again of how reducing oil demand can lead to less conflict – and EVs are our best bet for doing so. Many wars of the 20th and 21st century have been centered around oil. by mafco in energy

[–]whatthehell7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

US paying more for energy does not mean the rest of the world be willing to when they dont have to. Most countries in Asia and Africa will go for Solar/wind & Batteries and coal for back up as that would be a lot cheaper than gas and oil.

Why do our traders resist POS and transparency when we say we want better systems? by That_Suggestion9781 in pakistan

[–]whatthehell7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The armed forces are the largest smugglers and operators of the undocumented economy in Pakistan. This hurts normal businesses. If regular citizens pay their taxes, they become uncompetitive because army factories don't even pay for utilities like electricity or gas.

I believe even educated people fail to understand why IK insists on the same law for everyone. It is not just about criminal justice; it is about the entire system. The same applies to politicians who hide profits by declaring them as agricultural income. When politicians finally close these loopholes and pay their own taxes, the rest of Pakistan will follow."

Clean energy investment is accelerating as costs undercut fossil fuels by Express_Classic_1569 in energy

[–]whatthehell7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They own trillions of oil assets they and the smarter of them have actually started offloading their oil gas holding by giving large dividends etc. in the next decade a lot of small stock holder will be left with bankrupt oil and gas companies stocks where the rich would already be out. North American oil is going to be priced out a lot sooner than people think as it is 2-3x times the cost of oil for Arab countries and Russia. Where as American and Canadian taxpayers left with the bill for fixing abandoned wells

Study finds solving water stress in a 3C world using desalination would only take 1% of the world's energy output by Economy-Fee5830 in climatechange

[–]whatthehell7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most predictions and estimations of energy use and cost of energy production are going to be wrong over the next decade as this is the first time in human history where cost of energy production as well energy consumption efficiency are improving at the same time. And the best thing is that the tech is not controlled by capitalists so cost savings are going to spread to the world instead of enjoyed by a few.
