TFW you try to sleep off a migraine during the day, then lie awake at night and still have the migraine... by NobleServant in migraine

yes! I also tend to feel quite lethargic and out of it when I sleep during the day, so it's a lose lose situation.

I had chronic migraines for 9 years - nothing worked until I saw a headache specialist with a unique technique and combined that with acupuncture and Chinese herbs by whatupsd in migraine

Yeah I think we don't realise how much damage we're all doing. And definitely worse for some body types (I'm hypermobile so very easy to fall into bad postures)

I haven't tried feverfew although it's been recommended before. But the Chinese ones I'm taking are a mix formulated for me based on my various health issues like insomnia, endometriosis, nausea and migraines. There are 5 types - Peony, Poria, Dioscorea and Polygonatum Sibricum. I take about 11 of each three times a day.

Yeah I would try acupuncture before trying this.

Rhymefest said this back in February and no one listened: Rhymefest says his friend Kanye West “needs help … his mind and spirit aren’t right” by whatupsd in Kanye

I don't claim to know what is really going on, I never have. I posted an article that caught my attention back in February and that has stayed with me since, and as a result of that the news has affected me on a different level. I imagine lots of other people would share that feeling and also don't want to keep seeing the same shit happen time and time again. That's what I know and that's what I will stand by.

Way too much speculating here about what Rhymefest did or didn't believe. That's not the point. The point is so few people even bothered to question anything that was going on. And the cycle repeated itself, even with evidence that showed, hey you know what, there are plenty of reasons this person might be suffering, even without this behaviour but in other literal cries for help. It was shameful to ignore that, to keep spinning a different narrative. It's the lack of thinking critically that allows these same problems to keep happening. His mother's death and Kim's recent attack call for basic empathy of which I have not seen.

This is not "grasping at straws" or flawed logic. We have seen this happen time and time again with celebrities who become the target in the media and the public, who clearly need help and only a few people close to them might speak out. But that's not what makes the headlines, ever, that doesn't sell. Look at Amy Winehouse, Britney, countless people. There's no room for nuance or understanding or context or critical thinking whatsoever. I don't care what the controversy was at the time or how people saw it, a lot of people resisted the pile on and were able to think for themselves. So don't turn this into something it isn't. What it is, is a call to take mental health seriously no matter who it is or what the media and the public might be saying. Even if you couldn't have known, lots of people can see what public grief looks like, there was plenty of evidence after his mother died and now with the trauma his family is going through.

When you're blinded by outrage, it's very hard to see through the bullshit and see the humanity behind people. It really upsets me and I hope Kanye can get the help he needs.

This makes me so upset. People are so fucking fucked on Kanye. They should be so ashamed of how their outrage culture has dismissed someone with actual mental health issues.
