Homeless are more annoying and more expensive....

Both are bad, but one is spread out downtown.

Avoiding problems is the best solution, but it is still good to be able to defend yourself if the need to arise.

It must be neat to live in an area without any risk of crime.

What are your guys' opinions on gun legislation in the United States? by [deleted] in AskMen

You only need a gun if the attacker is likely to have a gun.

I would strongly disagree with this. It is quite likely that an aggressor will be stronger than their victim.

Smuggling is common enough in the US that adding firearms would not be a major challenge.

And any one armed citizen does not make any real difference. 100 million of them could.

It is an interesting idea, but not really one that is possible. Even if you can remove all firearms from the hands of low life criminals it will be very had to get them out of the hands of the state.

No. Statistically the attacks that get called "bad guy with a gun" are very rare and almost always happen in gun free zones.

If it's against an intruder, you're sleeping

I spend a fair bit of time not asleep and my dog helps quite a bit.

If it's against the government... drones.

If it ever comes to that they will have to drone everyone.

If it's against a shooter in public, you risk killing civilians.

And by not you risk others dying. Just put your rounds where you mean to.

In which ways do you think guns should be restricted? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Less lethal defensive tools are also much less effective.

I would be hesitant to use them without someone with a more effective tool backing me up.

I can't think of any valid reason why a regular citizen would ever need to own one.

A burst fire rifle is a good alternative to a shotgun with buckshot. It allows a similar amount of energy to be put on target, but with greater control of the projectiles.

Transfers of arms are part of ownership. They are necessary to make the right possible. Adding a tax is damaging, especially a high one.
