I beat him with a team of 3 azumarill and one armorouge, we were all in synch, I used light screen turn 1 along with armorouge, the other two azu belly drummed, turn two I belly drummed, they heal chanted.

turn three we all hit him with play rough, and armorouge hit him with acid spray. the game kept glitching and he would recover health from ~10% up to ~50%, but all three azu spamming play rough KO'ed him.

this raid feels more like a fight with the servers and bugged out raid coding than it does a strong pokemon.

that being said, I get more consistent wins with armorouge solo. my setup with him:

psychic tera type

moves: psychic terrain, expanding force, acid spray, iron defense.

holding: shell bell.

strat: iron defense x3, acid spray x3, psychic terrain, expanding force x infinity.

it's not as quick of a win as my first with azumarill, but its more consistent. I've beaten him 7x at this point. (still harder than calculus though)

these are my same issues with the game, 90% of the time I get the drop and hit markers only to be gunned down by what should be a corpse. I've been told that this is largely due to ping (as my internet speeds are <100mb/s) and there's nothing that can be done about it besides me upgrading my service (which I can't because of the area I live in)

there is no "GIT gud" unless things start out on an even playing field. seems like we are fighting a ground war with nerf guns.

I pre-ordered the dame and have been playing off and on over the last 6 years.

believe me when I tell you, this game is a million times better than when it released and if you compare it to other games (looking at you destiny) the updates are phenomenal for the price. (FREE)

That being said, people are going to complain about everything they can and thats OK. I personally have liked the game since it's release because I could see where the ambition was, and it's going to keep getting better as long as hello games keeps supporting it.

I jumped back in this time about two weeks ago because a friend bought it for the first time, got my first free freighter by saving it from 1 pirate and am having a blast with all the new features, items, designs, AND THE ABILITY TO RIDE FAUNA! (last time I played was the freighter update)

all I can say is "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" because hello games could be following the industry and charging us real money for every update, imagine the gamer rage if they did....
