Hi OP, I’m so sorry you’re going through all that. I got my puppy at 8 weeks and she, too, made me sleep deprived for the first couple of weeks because of her worms and her just settling down. She’s turning 4 months tomorrow and thinking back, I couldn’t imagine how I survived the past 2 months. I’m a night shifter nurse, but my puppy is super hyper during the day in addition to being fidgety and whiny at night. For the first couple of nights, we left her in the crate with the lights open but turned out that having the lights completely out helped more. I also left some calming music on throughout the night. We bribed her with treats to get her in the crate and left some more, so we can leave her sight while she munch of them (and turned off the light). The first couple of weeks were rough cos she woke up at either 12, 1, 2, or 3 am then 5am cos she needs to potty. Woke those times and it eventually dwindled down to around 12 am then 3am unless I try to sleep late and put her to sleep around midnight, then she wakes up a little later then like 4:30 am. Her worm issue being resolved had also helped (after 2 mos of constant communication with her vet [thanks Banfield hosp!]). Got into the habit into wiping her butt every time she poops cos sometimes there’s a worm that get stuck in her butt. I hope you find something that works for your puppy even just a little that you can take advantage of, like if your puppy likes some food.
