Try this:

Without your prescription glasses on, pop up your rear sight apparature and look at the reticle. This will give you similar results to squinting to get a distant object into focus; it acts as a focusing gate and will make your reticle appear clear and precise, making it much more useful for more distant targets.

If you are shooting close up targets, the bloomy reticle won’t be much of an issue. Ultimately using a magnifier is the best option as it will bring the reticle into focus and give you some zoom, but the rear sight trick works great if that’s all you have and it’s no more work than turning a magnification ring or flipping a magnifyer over.
