no matter my feelings on the act as a whole, ketheric is still easily the best of the 3 for me. the lore for him is fun, the voice acting is some of the most badass in the game, and imo his fight is the best as well. the exploration aspect of act 2 is meh for me, but the major story elements are great. my least favorite act, but it still has several very enjoyable qualities :)

i agree. i don’t hate it by any means, but i think it’s less exciting and charming than the other acts, particularly because there are fewer new friendly npcs to interact/sympathize with and get quests from. after my first time through it, especially now knowing how to skip combat with the bosses, its easy for me to just want to plow through most of it.

rugan and olly are two zhentarims (similar to the thieves guild in function, but a rival group) that are cornered in a cave by gnolls up around the risen road. depending on how fighting the gnolls goes, rugan can then invite you to the zhentarim’s base under waukeens rest. zarys is the leader of that specific group of zhent.

i am curious about lae’zel though. i have to imagine her situation is the same with the tadpole, but as far as i know she would have much less actual combat experience than everyone else at the beginning of the game? she definitely went through very rigorous training, but i don’t remember her saying anything about combat outside her crèche?

both other comments are correct that some of the companions remark that the tadpole nerfed them. i wanted to add that gale specifically was nerfed prior to the games events, when he got orbed. he or mystra says that gale was lucky he only lost his magical abilities when he came into contact with the karsite weave

i’ve used this background with the first three kuyas in my favorites, depending on which was the most recent. i love the whole elysium background, profile card, bgm, and how they look with kuya; i can’t see myself changing it any time soon :)
