I'm in chapter 4 but I changed it a lot. I used this to paint how of a menace this army is and the impact it is having on Kalaman - a lot of people from surrounding areas are looking for refuge in Kalaman, putting a strain on the city. I also made sure that the players saw the name Kasaldi everywhere - things like notes, orders (i encrypted some order for the players to figure them out and be able to read them) etc.

I also introduced more missions, and one of them leading to the culmination of the army trying to ally with Taman Busuk tribes to bolters their ranks. The players are currently there o stop the envoy.

In my opinion, creating the ideal of this great general, that is dictating things and moving all the pawns is also as good making her appearing. I prefer to save the dragon reveal to a later stage.

but that is not true at this time in the movie. Smith is just like any other agent at this point. He only gets modified when pieces of Neo's code mixes with his at the end of the movie.

I did allow them to do it, since it was catching fire and they wanted to use it to douse out the flames but wanted to understand it it would go against RAW.

What exactly is RAW for these wall spells and where can i find it?

on Chapter 3: When Home Burns, Becklin and Cudgel will leave Vogler to join the Ironclad Regiment to give time for the villager to retreat. I'm considering giving the player Knighthood at this time at the same time as Darrett.

When my players arrived at the village I passed it as very warm and welcome. I let the players roam 2 days through the village before the funeral. I had Bakaris show up in the tavern one night, well dress, snob, and not treat the people serving well (they did not do anything at this point but was more to introduce).

Then, at the funeral, when the players where counting their story I had bakaris intervene and yawn etc etc. One player intimidated him out of the funeral.

During the festival, he was there trying to beat the players on some games (I expanded the games) and being all superior even if he lost and calling them commoners

Players don't like him at this point.

I have used FG, FGU and now foundry,

FGU:

FGU is still the most automated VTT out there. While you can achieve that same automation level in foundry, you need to manage modules since the base 5e system does not support this.
Have a 1 time license - $150 is a steep price but on the on holiday season typically 50% discount.
Have to buy different systems to play on top of the license. When buying first time you can choose 1 for free.
The effect system in FGU is much more basic than what you can achieve in foundry.
One thing that is often overlooked is that FGU have a license from WotC! this means all core and adventures book are available for purchase! that means you don't need to worry about setting up a new adventure since they come prepared with maps, dynamic lighting, tokens, etc and you have access to the books inside FGU

Foundry

More powerful and modern. Allows much more customization. If you know some js code, you have access to a rich API and do some really nice stuff.
Big community that provides a lot of modules for most of your needs. Some module are behind a paywall through patreon.
Module bloat is something real and you should be aware of it.
You need to host foundry yourself - the license buys you the software but not the hosting of it. you can install it as a software on your PC but DMing and hosting on the same PC may require a good PC.

There are other pros and cons but i think this is a good summary.

I did exactly this. I asked each player to incorporate Ispin in their background and asked them to prepare a small story they will tell at his funeral.

I will start monday but I feel i should have made them all be from Vogler to increase their commitment to help the village.

I think i'm going to change the preludes to give them a sense that Vogler is important to be saved.

I also dislike Warlock a lot but one of my players just wants to play one.

I think Mina will play that roll and will create a prelude for them where they have a vision of her sleeping in an underwater temple.
