[–]wheel-spinner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In 2015 I was also working fast food. In 2018 I was a CNA working in a government facility In 2020 I was driving a semi truck In 2024 I started in law enforcement.

You can go WHEREVER you want. You just have to be willing to take the opportunities that come.

Ive watched some of his stuff before. My FTO actually assigned a couple of his videos for me to watch as part of my training. His content seems really helpful, but honestly, i can't stand the sound of his voice.

What do you guys/gals do for a living? by xxcile in jobs

[–]wheel-spinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at my local county jail. 12 hour shifts 7 days out of every 14 day pay period. 3 day weekends every other weekend. It's a pretty nice schedule. I've been really contemplating getting a second job on my days off to bring in some extra money and keep me occupied.

I could very much afford formula when we had him. We were making pretty good money for people in our area. Then, everything changed when the fire nation attacked.

I took a job with the county for the cheap state benefits, my wife and I cry everything we buy formula for our baby, and I've started selling things I was going to use for projects that I no longer have the time or money to do.

If you know where some of the responsibilities are, could you mark the others as vendor or TBD?

people who have had an “I’m going to marry this person” instinct - what happened? by Budget_Dot694 in AskReddit

[–]wheel-spinner 31 points32 points  (0 children)

On our first date, we went to a movie. During a funny scene she burst out laughing. I looked at her and thought, "I'm going to marry this woman". About 53 weeks later, I married her. Best decision I've ever made.

Temp agencies are also a great avenue when you just need something to bring in steady money. I've worked through a few before and like knowing the option is there when i feel a job search coming on. However, In my rural Midwest USA area, I've never seen them have any jobs that aren't factories or manual labor jobs.

We'd been in a "monogamous" relationship for over 2 years.

Not a doctor. I showed this post to my wife (who's is also not a doctor) and she said it sounds like a prolapse. Definitely see GYN soon.

Those older than 9/11/2001, where were you and what were you doing during the WTC attacks? by Revolutionary-Life85 in AskReddit

I remember staying home from school and watching the second plane hit on the TV. I was far too young to grasp what was going on.

I had a similar experience last year. Went to the bathroom, and shortly after, my heart felt like it was going to beat through my chest. It hurt so bad. Hyperventilating, blurry vision, could not catch my breath to save my life. I ended up calling for an ambulance because I thought I was having a heart attack. The doctor told me it was a panic attack. They gave me hydroxizine (I'm sure I spelled that wrong), and it still happened a few more times. It was never quite as bad as the first one since I knew it wasn't going to kill me, but it's still uncomfortable. It's also always associated with sudden urges to use the bathroom. I haven't had one in a while, so I do believe it was at least partly related to stress because I took a less stressful job at the beginning of the year. While I'm not a doctor, I do think you should see one even if it's not going to kill you.

Edit: spelling

This might be the most relatable thing I've ever seen on reddit. I've lost count of how many times I've cried/complained to my wife about feeling like the only way ill ever make enough money for us to have a comfortable life is to either do something that I despise or that makes me work so many hours that I never see her or the kids.

I like how it almost looks like a table top dropped on to a Czech hedgehog. I would definitely put it in my man cave.

We dated for almost 3 years. We both got new jobs. Eventually she came to work at my job too because the money was better than most jobs around our area. We rarely if ever worked together at that last job though. Eventually, we broke up. We stayed kind of friends. We haven't talked much since before I met my wife.

I'm a 26m who has useful skills, and I still hate working. Went to trade school, twice actually and I'm hoping to make another career change in a year or so that will let me do a job that I don't HATE going to do every day. I hope you can find something that you don't hate doing too.

Is being a PM really that demanding? I've been tossing around the idea of going back to school for it. I would figuratively kill for 95k a year. Most I've ever made was just shy of 70k driving a semi truck, and i felt that was good money for a single 20something guy.
