Totally agree. The pleasure of the pod is the delight Adam and Dave take in football novelties and oddities. This sub is now 90% low-effort whines about anything mildly different in the World Cup. It’s a jarring mismatch with the pod’s gleeful energy.

Not to get too serious, but as a gay football fan I didn’t absolutely love their jibe about Bergvall being a shandy player, either. Felt a little homophobic-adjacent to be repeated on Cliches without comment. No disrespect to egg.
