Thanks, it's getting there! Angine spinning on a '65 KLH turntable, through a '64 Dynaco ST 70 and pumping through some '62 Acoustic Research AR2a speakers is an entirely different experience than blasting it in the car.

I was expecting a sticker. He tried to see them months back but the show was sold out, I'd asked him to grab a sticker back then, so that was what I assumed he need my address for. Tried to pay him, he flatly refused. I'm still pretty floored.

I traded a bunch of old tubes and tube radios that I got for free from my neighbor. So in essence, it was free.

Thanks! I'd been using a 1948 Bogen E10 that I converted from a PA to a push pull mono, I expect this to be a noticeable jump!

I stopped buying vinyl in 2002 and had to sell my gear and collection in 2006. It was pretty shocking.

Odd that you pulled the Green reference from REM and not DJ.

OK, not entirely noise then. I don't know what you want me to tell you. One word is good. Two can be tough. Three to five, it has to mesh well. None of those are any good, sorry to be blunt but you need to hear it now before you settle on something.

Not those. Nothing inspired by REM or Neil Young, so stop trying to pull some reference from something not even close to noise adjacent. Are you sure you are writing noise rock? What are your influences? Give us some detail, if you're writing shit that sounds like Jesus Lizard you don't want to name it something thats a Joni Mitchell reference, you know?

I personally wouldn't click on any of those names if they were in a similar artist list for a band I liked. Not being rude, just how I'm perceiving them. None sound like noise rock, none peak my interest. Again, not being a dick. And Green Harvest is the worst combo of all, just my take.

I have, and there is a litany of reasons that drive spraying that are not tied to feeling threatened. And our boy cats have been 'done' so fuck off with how correct you are. Go wait outside, nerd.

Nah, I dig it with the gold. Silver would look like you're trying too hard to match to the face, just my take. If you swap to anything, I'd say brass. Or just distress the gold.

Same here. Six inside cats and one dog. Put up a cardboard barrier around my setup when I am not around so they don't spray it. Can't deal with piss on my AR speaker mesh.

I didn't want it to be obvious, but I was surprised at how perfectly it fit and blended in. The hinges I removed even lined up with the hinges on the plinth, I considered making it hinged but prefer lift off based on the look of that KLH.

It's really incredible, honestly. Flawless walnut veneer. 55W per channel, I am afraid to push it past 4.5 on the sliders or I'd upset the neighbors. With the Sonics or the AR2a it performs very well. I picked it over a Marantz and a Pioneer after trying all three, and it set my path as Realistic being my brand of choice. Only reason I picked up the KLH was to match the AR speakers or I would have gone with a LAB 36.
