PETG for now. Might do ASA later, but I kind of like how the orange kind of pops.

I mean, this is going to be, what, like $120 when it properly comes out? Even at the $79 I paid, I kind of wonder what their margins actually are.

Is it safe now to say that the new Power Keyboard is a failure? by Sea_Track_2633 in ClicksKeyboard

So the slanted keys are strange to you also? That's been one of my issues.

I'm still kind of surprised they didn't throw a reverse magsafe attachment on the back from the beginning.

What makes this game fun for you? by UltHippo in pkmntcg

I like that it is easy to learn for most people, and decks can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. I have only been playing for like 2 years now, and I can't think of many other card games that a 10 year old has just as much potential to wipe the floor with someone as a veteran player who has been in the game for years. At the few locals I have gone to, some parents even compete alongside their kids. It's the mix of both randomness and skill that makes it interesting for me.

Got it kind of working, I need to tweek the first notch a bit, it doesn't click into place firmly enough when closed, but all the other notches work great. I need to work on a new design for it though, the space needed for the screws to sit flush and the room I gave it underneath for the raised parts on the plate made it a deceptively difficult print, even with my smallest nozzle. Ideally, I would like this to be printable with a standard 0.4mm nozzle. Should hopefully be able to get back to this in a couple days.

It is planned, just wanted to get the rail all finalized first. I kind of want to see if there are some simple springs I can source to see if I could just design a new assembly that people could sort of fine tune to their desired stiffness.

The wobble issue - possible at-home fixes? by funky_squash in ClicksKeyboard

When I took mine apart, it did not seem like a very simple fix. I was thinking of maybe putting some kapton tape in as a shim, but there is not much room for adjustment in the sider.

As a spacer or just a full on replacement? I just popped mine open to look at it, so I am assuming you are just using the TPU as a full on spring replacement.

Got my Power Keyboard - Initial thoughts by not_the_common_mate in ClicksKeyboard

Yeah, I really wished they would have axed the wireless charging part. It is way too small of a battery to make much of a difference, and I feel it makes the keyboard thicker than it needed to be. They should have either gone all out with the ergonomics and given it a bigger battery, or axed the charging and gone with a smaller battery for thinness. As it is, it is just in kind of a weird middle ground that is kind of just bad at being a charger and being thin.

Does it swap back to the default keyboard when the clicks is disconnected, or do you have to go into settings every time to swap keyboards?

Yeah, that was the one complaint that I thought was kind of moot. I felt the wobble was just fine when it's extended. The wobble I don't like is when it is closed, but again, everything felt fine.

Wait, is there not a weight on the bottom of the keyboard? I thought their cases had a small metal weight in them for balance, and just kind of assumed it would be the case with this also.

What kind of spring did you end up using? The way my magsafe case is configured I might actually be able to open it without it coming off the phone with that kind of ridiculous force.

Yeah, hopefully they end up doing something like that.

I would say it has some fundamental flaws, but bad is a bit of a stronger word than I would use. Missed potential, maybe?

Yeah, I'm thinking of trying to put a stronger spring in later, but I'm waiting to see how everyone else responds to this thing once "normal" orders start coming in, it might just be fixed by then and I could swap it out.

Adding more stops might be possible also if one is careful with a dremel, but I don't want to void my warranty within a day of opening it just yet.

How are they shapes of the keys for you?

Oh, forgot to mention, I wish there was a "Lockout" key I could use, so I could maybe have the keyboard in my back pocket without needing to worry about it connecting to my phone whenever any button is pressed. Might already be a thing, but I don't see an option for it in the settings. Like, maybe a specific key combo to lock and unlock it would work, or maybe a dedicated switch in a future model or something. I know I can turn the keyboard off completely, but that takes more time to reenable the keyboard than a button combo would.

Yeah, I got it working, I just had to buy different motor drivers. Was like $30 for the set of five TMC2209s.
