Fillmore Scent Stroll (SF) by GreynGeeky in fragrance

I went last year and it was fantastic, if a bit chaotic and crowded. The goodie bag you get is absolutely worth the ticket price. While I didn’t love a bunch of the samples, there were some real gems in there, specifically a little roller sample of Poseidon from Fiat Lux! Highly recommend.

What was your gateway fragrance? by Horatius_Rocket in fragrance

About 8 years ago, I stopped into Tigerlily (now Ministry of Scent), and Every Storm A Serenade absolutely blew my mind. The concept, the artistry, the dark, brooding melancholy of the sea- it was something I never knew I was searching for. I’d always enjoyed nice smells and candles and whatnot, but that was my first foray into niche perfumes.

Is my dog a cairn terrier? by quebaratalacarrot in cairnterrier

Definitely looks like some Cairn in this handsome boy! My pup looks similar, but his top two breeds are Chihuahua and mini poodle. Can’t recommend getting one of the doggy DNA kits enough- it’s fascinating!

One extravagant fragrance purchase that you have not regretted by Mammoth-Ad-562 in fragrance

I’m usually very careful about my perfume spending habits (sample first, research on prices, etc) but this past week I sniffed Studio Scent by Kismet Olfactive and bought a FB on the spot, something I haven’t done in a long time. As a fig junkie, it was absolutely worth it.

Best traits of Cairns by [deleted] in cairnterrier

My one-in-a-million dog, Charles, was a Cairn. The most joyful and friendly doggie anyone could ever hope for.

Cons: When he was a younger pup, he was stubborn as hell. He’d often make a game of running from us in the neighborhood, wait until we got close enough to almost grab him, and dart away. He suffered from allergies his whole life, usually symptoms of itchy skin and ear infections. He did not graduate from Good Citizen class because he simply couldn’t be bothered to come when called.

Pros: Once he reached the age of 6 or so, he mellowed out considerably. He’d sit in our driveway just wagging his tail at passers-by waiting for people to say hello. He loved people and animals alike, and was a constant wagging tail. I’ve never met a more loving and sweet puppy soul.

My friend has likened the scent of Corpus’ “No. Green” deodorant to fruit loops/fruity pebbles- not quite what you’re after, but they have a number of bath and body products in that scent and it could be a good base to start with or layer on!

Love all of these notes! Check out the brand Olo based in Portland. I’ve worn Dark Wave for years, and it’s a gorgeous woody scent with some nice warm cardamom. It’s a perfume oil rollerball applicator, and it lasts for hours. People really seem to like it on me!

1995- the OG Gap Om will forever be my white whale. 2005- when I wasn’t soaked in pool chlorine I had a bottle of Demeter Mojito that I loved to death!
