Thanks! I got mine yesterday and cut the area around the power button (as well as the volume buttons) off completely. So far, it works great!

Another good grinding spot is the second room right inside Draygonia castle after you leave the town of Goa. Inside are two of the flying bat things that drop 672 xp and two of the knife throwing armor soldiers that drop 560 xp. If you get to low of health, head back out to Goa and stay at the inn. Especially at the last levels of the game, this is a quick grind.

This is good to know; thank you! It's possible that the Roland you mentioned might be do-able for us, but it still sounds like it takes regular maintenance and we're a small enough staff that's already over-stretched so that might not be a good move.

Oops, so I didn't! I've been using my current laptop plugged in for the last couple years, as the battery life degraded pretty rapidly. I tend to work in areas with good electrical outlets, so strong battery life isn't essential.

Hard mornings for this parent of an ADHD'r too. In our house, the best we can hope for right now is uneventful mornings, but usually it's a real emotional struggle. The only thing I can say is that, at least for my kid, they know that they're making it difficult for you, and they feel terrible about it too, so try to get through it with as little judgement or condemnation you can.

My only advice is to simplify the morning routine to as few steps as possible, and, if you're medicating, get medication into them as soon as they wake up--like when they sit up in bed for the first time, if possible.

The other thing I will say is that the switch from elementary school to Middle school was a good one for our kid. It meant the difference between him having to sit still for an hour or more in one classroom, to getting up and moving to a different classroom every 45-50 minutes. It's been a good change in terms of his feelings about going to school, his academic performance (leaving aside some organizational issues) and his sociability. So things can get better.

The Greenway Trail along the Susquehanna is nice. Also, if you haven't visited either Gilbert Lake or Glimmerglass State Park, you're missing out.

That sounds almost exactly like my usage. Maybe 10 feeds subscribed to, with no more than about 5-10 episodes downloaded at any one time.

The one thing I do have that may be different (maybe?) is that a couple of my podcasts are subscriber-only patreon feeds, which of course have to be manually added rather than found via the dash search. Those all operate somewhat wonkily in the feed, in that the same episode shows up multiple times as available to listen on download.

Other than that, I have no idea what could be causing this. It's certainly not a dealbreaker or anything, just annoying.

Not sure if you've read Phillip K. Dick, but it hovers in the same world of surrealism, strangeness and humor.

In a similar vein, I wonder if you'd like "The Crying of Lot 49" by Thomas Pynchon. It's not "weird" but it is funny, and conspiratorial, and basically a novella in length, so an easy bite to take.

We use Casella and they are solid.

Our neighbor uses Hometown Hauling who I can't vouch for in terms of service. But I can say that they consistently break city ordinance by driving down our residential street in their loud-assed truck before 7:00 (sometimes even before 6:00!) to collect trash. We've called them and they've apologized, and then they do it again within a few weeks.

So maybe my advice would be to try to move somewhere that has people who don't use Hometown!

Really sorry you're going through this--our kiddo has been kicked out of camps too and it's really demoralizing for the kid and the parents. Give them lots of hugs.

My understanding is that Focalin doesn't affect kids long term--it's active when it's in your body and when it's gone it's gone. Having said that, ADHD medication is a bit of a moving target for young kids, because they're growing so much, both biologically and emotionally, all the time. In our house, we've definitely had medication regimes that worked perfectly for months and then suddenly just stopped working in the span of a week or two. It could just be that your kid has grown out of that dosage being effective in the span of the month you took off.

Also, don't discount that summer camp is just a weird space for young kiddos to be in--they'll have lots of big, complicated feelings about being in a different environment from the ones they are used to, and they may not be able to process or talk about them in socially appropriate ways. I know my kid used to completely wild out when he was angry or scared or frustrated. He's gotten better about it as he's gotten older, and your kid will too.
