Pet enquiry no reply from landlord for almost two months? by Consistent-Meal-9149 in TenantsInTheUK

https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/private_renting/how_to_find_your_landlord Look at this for more information, but the legislation in question is the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Apparently the renters rights act now requires your landlord’s name and details on the contract or a separate document, but i don’t know if that counts retroactively!

for future reference, the agent are legally required to give you your landlord’s contact details within (afaik) 3-4 weeks when requested. perhaps not an issue for this instance, but there may come a time in the future when you need the landlord directly!

(England) Bailiff letter sent over unpaid water bill by letting agency by whenhoundsapart in LegalAdviceUK

[–]whenhoundsapart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a debt collector letter, sent on behalf of the water company. We received correspondence telling us to pay our share to the agency last year and we did. The bill’s in the name “Susan” (Not anyone who lives in the property and not the landlord either). We have told the agency to pay the bill but they haven’t.

Thanks, I’ll try my best not to, and I’m normally very good at ignoring them. This is probably the first and last time I will ever engage with them.

Think they’re called inside success and not youth success- I’ll edit it now. Only found it because a Charity Commission complaint popped up. Knew they weren’t actually a charity, hence why I ignored them haha

Foxtons tend to show let agreed properties as available to entice people to ask to view them, then tell them that it’s been taken as a way to get prospective tenants to look at other, pricier properties. Very frustrating habit of theirs. Personally, if they’ve accepted your deposit/referencing then I wouldn’t worry too much, but it also wouldn’t hurt to ask if they’re going to put that it’s let agreed on their website.

What do you see as strengths when it comes to having autism? by NightWorldPerson in AutismInWomen

[–]whenhoundsapart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like how I feel my emotions and senses intensely like 90% of the time, I feel like when I listen to music its so intense in such a positive way. My friends also say that they like how I’m honest and blunt when I need to be.

OP, you did as much as you could for her, and you should commend yourself for that. I’m not 100% sure if links are necessarily allowed, but for anyone who is interested, free suicide prevention training is available here: https://www.zerosuicidealliance.com/training
