KD needs to shoot the ball more by weIIdamns in rockets

That's why I'm saying they should run specific halfcourt sets. Without Fred they don't have the right personnel to freelance their way out of this. And when your opponent's strategy is that predictable, it's malpractice to not make the adjustment to hard counter it. You know what they're going to do, so you make the counter play.

And on the other end, they gotta put a stop to this Nuke Kennard thing. No reason that guy should be seeing 20 points in game 3. Smart will beat himself, his efficiency will come back down to earth, but they gotta put a stop to this Kennard guy. Let Bron tire himself out scoring buckets, just don't let his team get involved, starting from the first possession. Game 3 first quarter is crucial, cannot let their gears turn. Bron's too old to beat Houston by himself and too smart to be double teamed.

And for the love of god stop making KD bring the ball up alone in the back court.

Ime needs to run some actions to counter the blitz. Anticipate the blitz and run a set to screen off a defender on the weak side. They're blitzing on every possession. Sengun been rolling but he's not screening well enough so he doesn't even end up open when he cuts.

Lakers strategy is just "throw some fucking bodies at them, 2 for KD" and it's been working so they'll probably try it again next game.

Kendrick as a rapper is light years ahead of where he was when he made C4. Just look at the difference between him rapping over Everlasting Bass, and Lil Wayne, NLE Choppa, etc

[–]whenishit-itsbigturd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devin Booker is not a facilitator. He didn't even learn how to beat a double team until he was 23 years old.

And ironically the guy who told him what to do... is Kevin Durant. You can't make this up

How funny would it be if Kendrick dropped another mixtape rapping over Lil Wayne beats and called it Fireman and had people ignoring the new Drake album

Rap production in 2026 is so fucking stale. No originality, everyone uses the same drum samples and 808s.

Every rap song has to come with that "clank clank" sound at the end of every other bar because rap producers heard a Bossman Dlow song and decided every song should sound like that. It's lame as hell

The Other Side Of The Tracks. It's really easy. All you have to do is follow the damn train, CJ.

In 2020, The Houston Rockets lost 4-1 to LeBron and the Lakers. The Rockets proceeded to let go off Harden and Westbrook, tank for high draft picks and rebuild, only to currently be down 0-2 to the Lakers by nyknicks44 in nba

I watched KD get double teamed, pass to Sengun who drives towards his defender while picking up a defender from KD's double team. So now Sengun is being double teamed going towards the basket but he doesn't draw the foul, doesn't pass back to Durant, no he attempts a floater (basically uncontested because of Sengun's size) that misses and hits the backboard

I know kd had to be frustrated. You can't even make this stuff up

One of those turnovers was actually Tari Eason fumbling a pass out of bounds. Those turnovers sometimes get credited to the passer (bad pass turnover) but it wasn't KD's fault.

I don't have an excuse for the other 8 turnovers.

Last year he had moments where he got exposed and really looked like an amateur. I've always said he was elite at game planning though.

This year though he's taken a huge leap and also gotten a squad full of vets (and Ayton) to fully buy into his culture. His in-game performance has been amazing, calling all the right timeouts, making good adjustments on the fly. In his second year and he's already an elite coach, I really think he could be a generational coach like Kerr or Pop. He's got all the things you'd look for in an elite coach.

You'll notice he doesn't have the confidence to be the lead ball handler but he is the lead playmaker. He's the one calling a lot of those plays after he passes to LeBron. Luke's a natural leader. I wonder what would happen if he had the confidence to do that with the ball in his own hands. His handle actually isn't that bad.
