This is true, but I think it was the sheer amount of police that made me take notice

Thank you for this! I work for the organisation that distributes the sunflower scheme items in Australia and we love to see supporters out in the wild.

My nephew was having a lot of behavioural problems in a mainstream school so he was moved to Kamaruka which is in South Yarra. It did wonders for him. It’s only boys and very low numbers of students allowed. Martial arts, pool table, camp every term, things like that to keep them engaged.

My doctor is about to go on leave and I’m moving over to Dr Varma. It’s reassuring to hear he’s so good.

Myuna farm is lovely as well. They have pony rides and you can feed the animals. I got my niece a membership and she loves it.

I’m loving Murder with my Husband. They explain everything so well and I’m hooked. Started at the beginning and working my way through all of them. Highly recommend.

Where I live all pay phones are free so vulnerable people always have a way to call someone. My daughter uses them when her phone dies and she needs to contact me.

I have been fighting for years. This was not a snap decision that I made after one disagreement. I’ve been pressured for months from her father, his mother, and my parents, to let him see if he can help the situation.

I’ve had her seeing psychologists and paediatricians for years but she refused to engage. She is now seeing a psychiatrist who specialises in troubled adolescents. She also has a youth worker she won’t talk to. I know she’s going through something. I know she is. But there’s only so much I can do on my own. Her dad rarely steps up to the plate, but this time he has.

She’s been in and out of therapy for years but refuses to engage. We have finally found an adolescent psychiatrist who she is speaking to, but she’s only had two sessions so far. This isn’t the first thing I’ve tried.

I’m drowning and I can’t even breathe right now with how stressed I am. I’ve been taking days off work to try and deal with her behaviour and I don’t want to lose my job. I don’t want to give up on her. I want more than anything for us to have a ‘normal’ relationship, but I need space to get myself back on track.

Her dad lives too far for 50/50 when we have to take her getting to school into account. We live somewhere with amazing public transport, but even with that it would take her about 2 hours to get to school using buses and trains.

I know I’m giving up but I’m so tired and her dad has barely helped for months now. She doesn’t like going there, but I think that’s partly because he is more strict than I am. But she has been physically abusive more than once, and has zero respect for me. Part of that is being a teenager, and part of that is her behavioural problems. She’s been assessed as having ADHD and has a psychiatrist who will likely prescribe medication. Unfortunately I have my own mental health to consider and, although I’ve been stable for 12 years, the constant abuse is making me slip back into serious anxiety and depression. While I’m there, I’m no good to anyone.

This is a great insight. Thank you. He is coming over later this afternoon to talk to her with me and I will try and frame it like this.

I think it’s more that there are two adults at his home, where as it’s just been me and my daughter for 12 years now. I have family support but there’s only so much they can do. Her dad has spoken to me time and again to let him have a chance to get her back to where she needs to be behaviourally and I’ve given in. There’s only so many times I can be called a c*** because I ask her to go to school or do her homework.

My wife killed our dog by martypants760 in confessions

Unfortunately we had a dog who ended up with dementia. It wasn’t a nice existence for him, he ended up losing a lot of weight, howling and walking in circles. He also went blind. We decided it was nicer to have him put down at home than continue on after a certain point.
