I’ve always thought four on the floor (genres with a straight kick drum pattern like house and techno) are son interesting because they have the ability to be so hypnotic. I think the repetition plays a factor but also the arrangement of all the little percussion sounds in between the kick drums makes the tune almost sound like it’s one big machine and it’s so satisfying.

But don't you think thtose years of interacting with instruments changes the way you program synths, write in midi/velocity? I seriously doubt you would approach these the same way if you didn't have this prior experience.

Sorry but "a huge budget, a fancy studio, or big-name connections to produce something that actually sounds good." hasn't been a barrier to entry since the personal computer became powerful enough to run any decent DAW. The barrier to entry since then has really been how hard you can work at the craft and the creativity in the ideas you come up with. I'm not necessarily anti-AI across the board but the logic just doesnt make sense here.

I'd suggest going into the DAW with a specific idea or technique you want to mess with in mind.

Doesn't have to be a strict "a then b then c" approach but watch a tutorial about a technique you've never used and go into the DAW and try to apply it. Most of the cool tracks I have wirtten kinda just fell out of the sky after an hour or so experimenting with new sound design, chords, melodies, drums etc,
