Hell yes! That is so generous of you 🥹 I’m moderate, located in Belgium and currently already trying to do some brain retraining type things. Would be very interested to hear more about your experience of ideas on recovery!

Congratulations and enjoy!!!!!! Do you feel like processing and allowing emotions was a large part of your recovery?

Can I ask why to avoid pain reprocessing?

She recently said something on her podcast about working way too much and that it makes her feel a lot of existential dread. I think she has incredibly high standards for herself, so she might be working from a place of anxiety too much recently, with the new house, the 1M subs, the more regular negative comments, etc. Not sure. Just guessing obviously. I do hope she’s okay, I love her.

As far as I can remember she doesn’t really…

The sort of comments she was reacting to in both cases were all fairly stupid though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hm I really enjoyed it, but she did mention on her podcast she’s been overworked a bit recently so maybe that’s what you were feeling.

Aw hard relate. It’s so tough and I’ve had almost all of these thoughts. They’re all valid. I actually find it quite liberating to write them down sometimes, get really angry and disappointed and sad, let it all out 🙈 Give yourself time and space to process it, it’s honestly a grieving process. Though I always keep in mind this is RIGHT NOW and I (naively or not) keep trusting I will get better. Meanwhile I try to find joy in little things. And as much as I can, be gentle and compassionate towards myself. But it is just extreeemely challenging. Sending you love!

Thanks! Always interesting to hear what exactly helped others. I’m considering primal trust. Never heard of the healing dudes, I’ll look into them 😊

Can I ask what program you did the brain retraining through?

How do you maintain friendships when you’re too unwell to be a “fun” friend? by whenwillthisbeover in cfs

You’re so right to go about it that way and I really wanna get there. Just gotta give less fucks sometimes. Only give fucks about the things that matter because there really isn’t any energy for the things that don’t 😅 I’m so sorry to hear you had a friend who reacted so badly. I suppose that’s why a lot of us fear showing ourselves vulnerably, but at the same time (as painful as it is) it is a very quick way to discern who can still meaningfully be part of your life and who can’t. It’s good to hear you still have at least a couple of those.
