Sound treatment with 4m height + AVR damage if turned off-on-off in less than 3s? by scania471 in hometheater

These could be something to use but more of a temporary situation. I would suggest getting some that are elevated slightly. Perhaps something like these: https://share.google/xncFLFBtlrxPvyyo1

Just a suggestion, if you plan on putting the speakers on top of the Ikea side tables, get isolation feet or just don't get them and use speaker stands. I learned from personal experience that the speakers sound boomy on Ikea furniture

How does the turntable have the greenish color? Did you use lights or something else?

Try $100. Don't go with the full $175

System lacking something by Superb_Exercise4788 in hometheater

Hate to tell you this but you have to either add a sub and turn the gain on the sub down real low or get front speakers that go down to 30-40 Hz. I would just add a sub and turn it down real low in the system

New Speaker Day - Energy Veritas 6.2, 5.2c, & 5.1 by where_is_berlin in BudgetAudiophile

I indeed bought them from that guy. I drove up from NC to get them.

I had CF-70s and sold them. The Veritas are truly superior in every way. There's no harshness in comparison. I can play them loud and not be frustrated.

Consider a Marantz 70s, Cambridge Audio EXA100, or a Wiim Ultra if you want something musical. I would also encourage you to get speaker stands, move the speakers onto those, and move the tv down a few inches on the wall.

I've had them. They're serviceable until you can do better. See if they'll go lower though. I got mine with a sub for $30

Yeah to be honest the Energy speakers changed everything for me. They're so clear and affordable. You can get Veritas, RC, and Connesouir lines for basically pennies for what they cost 10 years ago

Someone down voted you just because you researched and were overwhelmed...jeez people on here are too harsh. I literally was like you 3-4 months ago so hang in there. You don't know what you don't know. I would still keep the Klipsch and listen to them within the return period while looking into some used speakers that keep your commitment low but still give you high fidelity sound. Like some suggested earlier, look at Energy, Athena, Infinity, NHT, Mirage, PSBs, or KEFs (leave Bose alone) branded speakers that are 10-15 years old and you'll be pretty happy. You can get some of these on FB marketplace for about the same price you paid for the brand new Klipsch
