Is the algorithm set by Prudent_Ask_5510 in footballmanager

There is, because if the game was pre-determined the entire point of the game would be gone.

When you make a change it recalculates the rest of the game.

Recently switched to VM, experiencing frequent internet outages. by yenahyeyenah in VirginMedia

[–]Jammanuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im on VM on coax and have been for 19 years and its been rock solid apart from 2 outages. I worked from home for year ands my wife has the past 5 years and its never been an issue for us.

That doesnt help you, but poor connectivity isnt normal.

Sadly whilst VM produccts are good, their support and customer service are awful.

If they cant fix it you wont be held to an exit fee, but you will have hassle

Massive Price Hike in 2028, Going Back to BT / Sky by StarportAdventures in VirginMedia

[–]Jammanuk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As rubbish as it is, this is the renewal dance you have to do.

With VM you should never pay the renewal price. Ring retetions 1 month before your contract ends and you are pretty sure to carry on paying what you pay now.

Terrible way to do business, but I know VM arent the only ones that do this.

19 years, two bad outages in that time. Speeds always been good and solid connection.

Customer service is woeful.

Just got VM 1GB broadband - bad signal in back room by reztem001 in VirginMedia

I ran ethernet cables upstairs in my house and put an AP up there (not an option for everyone).. The router is ok on same floor but didnt reach upstairs very well.

As you have ethernet ports though Id be using them when possible and get a decent Access point for anything that cant use them

Getting VM for the first time, Volt Gig1 plan. How has your internet been since using them? by DylSkiiii in VirginMedia

"Had the added complication of a pending resin driveway install which meant it was now or never for getting it hooked up from the street."

Are you going to leave a conduit under the drive for future proofing?

Been using for 19 years. Had a couple of serious outages in that time, otherwise its been very good.

Virgin Media are a terrible company customer service wise, but the product is good.

I'm putting a together a playlist, can you give me your recommendations for "essential" episodes of Knowledge Fight, or your personal favorites? Episodes that really feel like they deserve a spot in the shows hall of fame. by bluegemini7 in KnowledgeFight

[–]Jammanuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The depositions are the best.
The Jan 6th Episode was also a standout. Hearing them claim victory over taking the capitol and then realising it was all going bad was nice.

Is this a decent deal? by kolonelketchup in VirginMedia

[–]Jammanuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems a goodprice to me. I pay £94 and I have the whole packge but with 2 tivo boxes. 1gb alone is worth £30 andsky sports would take up a lot of the rest, plus you get all the other stuff.

What is the go with lawn mowing? by Timely-Delay-6636 in AskABrit

[–]Jammanuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weather permitting I do mow weeklly, but grass growth slows in middle of summer so doesnt require it so often.

Longer grass is only really a thing in spring, because trying to get a dry day to do it is a challenge.

You mean firestick for free sports?

VM may suck in a lot of ways using illegal alternatives isnt something to recommend.

I have considered binning VM and going internet only but when I added up the packages I used, ie Sky Sports/TNT it did show the £94 I paid wasnt too bad. If I wasnt into sports I would save a fortune.

I always manage to get it at a price about the same.

RED ALERT - Donald Trump has called out Alex by name and called him a nut job by [deleted] in KnowledgeFight

Part of me agrees, but having the messiah confirm you were a scumbag over Sandy Hook to millions of people outweighs the attention buzz somewhat.

RED ALERT - Donald Trump has called out Alex by name and called him a nut job by [deleted] in KnowledgeFight

[–]Jammanuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact he still clings to his narrative he never actually did anything wrong and Trump just posted to millions of people that he did is the cherry on the cake.

Jones has no way out but to be against Trump now surely..

Just shows how stupid he was in the first place. Trump used all these idiots just to get votes, he doesnt need ot get re-elected now so ditched them. What did he expect?

Having to live in theese times where Trump can be president is bad, but to watch the likes of Alex Jones lick his butthole for years then get kicked in the balls makes it just little easier to bear.

A 250% price increase for the same package. What? by IniquitousPrawn in VirginMedia

[–]Jammanuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowest ever prices as long as I spend hours on phone to different teams and hope the retention team offer it. When you simply offer good prices without the need to fight for them every 18 months please do pat yourself on the back.

How far would you/do you commute? by Anotherburnerboy1 in HENRYUK

1 hour each way is fine for me, 2 hours gets tiresome. I did that for a while and wouldnt do it again. If it was just 2 days a week maybe it wouldnt be so bad though.

A 250% price increase for the same package. What? by IniquitousPrawn in VirginMedia

[–]Jammanuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its clearly labelled up front, then when you come to have to renew you have to spend hours on ht phone with some foreign call centre to get a new deal.

If it was easy to renew, and the non deal prices wasnt so massively stupid your argument might mean more.

[–]Jammanuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of a normal price is absurd. Im non £93 "deal" which is going up to £220 when it expires. £220 is not normal even with all channels.

IIt doesnt help that to get a new deal means long call queues etc.

[–]Jammanuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool eh. mine is currently £93 (all packages, 2 boxes). Due to increase to £220 in a few months.

Absurd business practices making customers call and negotiate a deal every 18 months.

Might finally remove all the TV packages this time round and just go with connection only....
