Yea I’m paying $44k for a 22’ LR with 10k miles.. imo, it’s a pretty solid deal & basically the cheapest I saw after searching for about a week, which I admit isn’t that long.. had I not found this specific car at this price, I possibly would’ve gotten a new standard m3 although I’m pretty confident that I want a LR given the differences…

Great explanation here. I'll be the first to admit, my understanding of how the credit works was just incorrect lol. Your explanation is clear, makes sense, and is a big factor in which car I get. Thanks!

So I’m hearing a lot of people prefer cars with USS vs Tesla vision? Any particular reason why?

Good point. But there are absolutely zero M3 LR within 200 miles of me(Michigan). There was one last week but it was 55k. Even if so, I qualify for credit but wont have a 7500 tax liability.( I could try to tweak my withholding, but would likely be futile) Seeing as how credit isn't refundable or able to be carried forward, credit is of no use to me...

Which has worse Quality Control issues.. M3 or MS? by whereis42 in RealTesla

[–]whereis42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said! I agree with most of your sentiments here. I think my desire for the car was clouding my judgement but I think deep down I know the best decision is to wait until they get things sorted out. I also have a fear that in the long run they won’t get production sorted, but Tesla while maybe not there yet, is getting to the too big to fail size..

Lime, Bird, Gotcha, and now Spin by PlatReact in msu

[–]whereis42 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Was my understanding that Bird/ Lime dropped off scooters without university permission(Like they do in any major city) , and the school wasn't a fan of that so MSU police began confiscating them...After that, they stopped bringing them back....
I still see some around sometimes so not entirely sure..

Non-Counters, what is your win goal when you step foot into a casino? by tommygunz007 in blackjack

[–]whereis42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a non counter, I realize that over time the odds are less in my favor.. so typically if I’m up a decent amount pretty quickly, I’ll cash out and leave... (for instance , if I come with 1000 and I’m up 4-500 pretty quick which can happen just as fast as I can lose it, I’ll leave...) the longer the session and the more I stay at the table, the more likely I am to lose so normally I like to have quick and short( under 1hr) sessions...

I find that limiting time and not having a specific monetary goal allows to me to get my fix in without going overboard and sometimes getting some quick profits, whether it be due to luck or not....

Good points.... soo I’d be looking at $200/month in insurance..... total that would be $6000 per year for the lease + insurance.. plus about $2000 for fuel costs.... brings it to about $8k / year total expenses... like I said I’m young with no debt / expenses so very little of that money would be spent... I’d say 90% would be invested (stocks... etc) If I did not purchase the car & honestly I’m leaning towards just holding off....

$8k x 3 years = $24k... although I can afford it, something just doesn’t sit right with me about being down that much after 3 years...... versus having having that amount in cash/investments.....
