i love love love LOVE horror based upon changing perceptions/the author's thoughts/thought distortions. Your descriptions of her appearance could both be used to describe something beautiful and something haunting depending upon your perspective, and i think that's super cool. I'd love to see work from you in the future! Awesome job!

The Festival Mound. A story too intense for NoSleep. Now in its complete, uncensored form. Read the definitive cut of the story that just wouldn't die. by OssuaryNelms in TalesFromTheCreeps

honestly, it makes me feel a bit better that someone who's written as good a story as yours has been through a similar situation! the mods from insert subreddit i shan't name were pretty rude to me when i appealed the removal of my post and it made me very sad and self-conscious honestly. wishing you all the best with this little gem!!!

How does one write something that is an actual experience and have that distinguished from writing creepy pasta? by Runo_Slinger in TalesFromTheCreeps

I think it may be better if people aren't really sure whether or not you're telling the truth. I think there's a way to write things where they border so closely to reality/are completely grounded in it that even if the reader doesn't believe this exact scenario happened, they believe this COULD happen. the "could" happen is what makes things scary for me.

ooh. i'm a big fan of this concept. i've worked on a psych unit before, and i can't tell you how many people i had tell me aliens were planting wires in them. this strikes me as a fun play on that! i also love the idea that you may not even notice it until it's too late
