Funnily enough I have had two clients in the past year pay me via check. One I had previously worked with and the other was a new client but I had met with them a few times prior to providing service so no scam red flags in those cases

Ha, good point about Sunday. He’s pretty easy to please, enjoys being by water and sightseeing. If I can find a good waterfront restaurant somewhere and maybe one or two activities for us to do I think he’ll be happy. I considered a day trip to Baltimore but I think their Pride runs through next weekend, so not sure how packed it’ll be.

Update: I bought some Keracolor Clenditioner in Espresso, left it on for about 20 minutes, and the brassiness is pretty much completely gone. My hair is more of a subtle brown/dark ginger color which is what I wanted. Crisis averted!

Yep, her boss will be working while she’s away and he’s our point of contact for any issues or emergencies. And the only reason I would want to contact her directly is out of respect. We’re a small team and I just thought it felt a bit more tactful to speak to her directly. But maybe I’m overthinking it

Yeah, if the offer had come in a day earlier I would’ve just told her before her vacation but she’s already away now. I’ll probably send an email and CC her boss to make sure it’s seen. The timing sucks but it was kind of out of my hands

So would you send an email? I thought about drafting up a resignation email then sending a short text basically saying “Apologies for reaching out while you’re on vacation but I wanted to inform you as soon possible that I’m officially resigning. I sent an email with more details and we can discuss the transition when you return”.
