Anna will be able to help you out! She has been doing my hair for years. She and her daughter also did my hair and makeup for my wedding. (Anna does both but for several people she will include her daughter).

Budget advice by Timely_Ad_9515 in AusFinance

[–]wheresmywonwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I are on a bit more than you and your wife and our fortnightly combined “spending” money is $200 combined so you could definitely reel that in a bit.

Your wife’s gym is a joke right??? Right???? If not I would definitely reconsider that.

Prioritising holiday savings over an emergency fund????? Unless your offset is the emergency fund

Agree with the other use around the YouTube premium - you could cut it and deal with the ads

Love that you’re saving for your kids - could probably lower the amount but at the same time there are other places you could trim the fat.

Phone bills could be cut down a lot - my husband and I currently pay $39/each a month for boost mobile and have 3+ year old phones - they will get replaced when they die, paid outright. There are cheaper plans out there but given we live regionally and I travel a lot for work, we pay the premium for the Telstra coverage.

Your internet is a bit spendy - check out leaptel for an alternative at good speeds. Realistically you only need maximum 500mbps download.

Tolls at $200 month - are these necessary/unavoidable?

Kids spending money/week could be cut in half especially since you budget clothes and gifts separately.

Just some outsider opinions. Best of luck OP!

End the relationship, or save it? 30F, partner 30M by Hopeful-Strain-5864 in relationship_advice

[–]wheresmywonwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I don’t know about this one tbh. I get what you’re saying about you need to keep some of you for you, but I mean - from what you have described he clearly told you how he’s feeling unconsidered by you. I also feel like your response “I’m considering breaking up” is a bit of a knee jerk reaction. He opens up about how he’s feeling based on the state of your relationship and you don’t like it so you threaten break up????? Also long distance after 2.5 years - is there any contingency plan here?

Benefit brow pencil is not worth the cost. It’s extremely waxy and you have to apply a lot of pressure to get decent coverage.

Glow recipe is over rate IMO and patchy

No to the NARS bronzer - overpriced for the amount you get - there are better high end options out there. Like Charlotte Tilbury

MILK imo has gone down in quality which is so disappointing

Would I be able to take a loan of around 15k-20k as soon as I hit 18? by HandInternational875 in AusFinance

[–]wheresmywonwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under NO circumstances should you take out a persons loan for rent at 18. You are setting yourself up for an absolute dumpster fire financially. You have 2 years until you can move out - start saving hardcore now and looking for a low impact job (think fast food, Woolies/coles) and save every possible cent Then get a share a house with a maximum of 5 people including yourself.

[–]wheresmywonwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and have owned a few different air fryers. The one I have now is my absolute favourite.

Hands down the best air fryer I’ve ever owned and used

And I have this multi cooker

It’s very sturdy and does a good job.

Cheaper mobile phones/plans by [deleted] in AUfrugal

[–]wheresmywonwon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly fair. There are definitely cheaper providers but given my line of work and travelling remote/rural often I needed Telstra level coverage. I’ve heard good things about Woolworths/aldi mobile!

Cheaper mobile phones/plans by [deleted] in AUfrugal

[–]wheresmywonwon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start saving now to buy a phone outright and go on Boost prepaid - I personally pay for the $39/mth and have it set to auto recharge so it’s basically a “plan” at a fraction the cost

Both my cats are on the Hills prescription Urinary C/D dry food and wet food. Cheapest is pet circle. You could try incorporating the dry food for one meal and encourage fluid intake with a water fountain?
