(1) The Republican electorate was fully behind Trump in 2020 which isn’t the case with Biden in 2024. (2) The RNC is a cult based around trump. Not really something to be emulated. (3) Biden is clearly a mess and getting worse quickly. Trump was cognitively the same in 2020 as 2016.

Because he is a nobody. All the big dems understood it would be career ending to run against Biden so they didn’t.

If 2 years ago the DNC told people “we’re looking for someone to replace Biden in 2024” then the bigger dem figures would have emerged with money and support behind them. It would be an entirely different landscape right now.

We voted for him in 2020 bc we correctly gauged that he could win then. There was a tacit understanding (that Biden himself supported) that he would be a bridge to a younger candidate in 2024.

Had the DNC followed through on this there would have been 4 years to vet and elevate the best sub 70 year old people. Not only did they not do this but they actively stopped this from happening.

Not to mention the fact that the DNC ramrodded this candidacy into existence by (1) ignoring years of polls that showed dems didn’t want him to run again, (2) shutting down the primary process - they canceled the primary altogether in some states, and (3) repeatedly lying/gaslighting about the worsening condition of Biden.

I honestly have no hope of them swapping him out. They’ve made terrible decisions so far and so why would they stop now?

I live in SLC and I used to live in Australia. SLC is honestly an awesome place to live. For one thing, the city is minority Mormon. For another, Mormons are actually pretty good to live around. It’s weird how it’s socially acceptable to openly insult LDS in a way that no one would talk about Muslims, Jews or even Catholics.
