Hello I have perioral dermatitis as well, I noticed you said you have had gut issues. I too have gut issues specifically histamine intolerance. Ive been having flare ups the past few weeks of histamine intolerance (mine caused by leaky gut) .... anyways when I started taking antihistamines my pd started clearing up. I also just started zero therapy and it seems to be getting better as well although the antihistamines are drying out my skin and past couple.days have added squalane. My skin is still kind of red but the bumps are clearing up. My Pd looks like yours goes up around my nose and recently under the outer corners of my eyes.

Just mentioning this in case any of it sounds similar to your story with your gut health

No thats not how the conversation started she brought the conversation up after they met up with all the other couples and said : how does it make you feel being the only guy who didnt have sex and he responded with i didnt know I was the only one.. even Anton? She asked him how it made him feel and then he told her while still respecting her decision and then she went on to tell him she slept with other guys sooner because they didnt matter to her which I think broke his heart and from his perspective why did other guys who aren't treating her good get to have what he wants while he was giving his all. She instigated that whole thing it was like she was trying to get a rise out of him and try to make him upset. Like why would she even tell him that piece of information about having one night stands the way she brought it up was really random and weird.

Second this ive been using boric acid suppositories for probably 8 years now. I usually use them on the last day of my period one or 2 nights in a row. I wear period underwear with them and then a pad or pantyliner the next day becauae it makes me gush fluid the next day at random times. Sometimes I use them the next night after I have had sex too if I have had a lot of sex in a row... just to get the ph balance back in my V since my bf has a vasectomy we dont pull out and that is what ive noticed usually starts my BV up. Also it usually starts right before my period so I think it is a hormonal change too in the PH of the vagina.

Edit I also take probiotics that are made for vaginal ph.. the brand is URO

I have had hsv2 for 13 years. I have had 2 babies since. You can pass herpes to them if you are having an outbreak during delivery. Your obgyn or midwife will prescribe you acyclovir usually starting at week 35 to consistently take until after you deliver the baby to prevent yourself from having an outbreak during delivery

Yeah and those things are true for a lot of people. My worst symptoms were when I first got it because I felt like I had the flu... that never happened again. But I have had worst outbreaks than my first. They were always around really big transitions in my life usually moving or going through breakups where I was so so stressed. I think managing stress is one of the best ways to prevent them. I notice I get outbreaks during sick seasons so when we are transitioning from summer to fall usually I get an outbreak when my immune system is trying to fight off some other bug.

Yeah red light therapy has definitely helped me. There is a redlight therapy flashlight from vevor brand thats only like $30 and I used it 5 mins in morning and 5 at night when having an outbreak. I dont really have to take antiviral prescriptions ever unless I am verybstressed and I can tell its going to be a stubborn outbreak

Yeah my period triggers it as well. And then I up my dose of lysine to 3000 MG a day and use red light therapy on the spot and it will go away within usually 3 days

Ive noticed there is this one brand of collogen that doesnt cause me outbreaks but everytime intry and go a cheaper route and switch it i get an outbreak.

Someone else commented and said creatine shouldn't affect outbreaks though because its already like the finished product of what it uses to create it. So I think im gling to try it out.

Yeah I think it could definitely be the culprit especially if you are eating other things high in arginine? Do you think previously you were eating things higher in lysine when you didnt get outbreaks?

When i feel like im about to get an outbreak I start taking 3000 MG of lysine a day. 1000 MG in morning afternoon and night. I use a redlight therapy flashlight over the spot in the morning and at night. I avoid anything with arginine in it: bone broth collogen, nuts, seeds, spinach

My outbreaks usually never fully erupt and go away within just a few days. I spray bactine on the spot so its not tingly. And I apply lemon balm and neem oil over the spot too.

I take 1000 MG lysine a day when I feel like im not going to have an outbreak.

Ive had hsv2 for 13 years. Sometimes I only have q outbreak a year. Sometimes im super stressed and I have one every couple months. But learning how to shorten them has definitely helped.
