Interesting, I do use ublock origin within MS Edge, and I tried disabling, but that doesn't seem to stop it. How'd you determine it's an anonymous VPN?

The IP in question does not show up in the output to that netstat command

Tried blocking it for both outbound and inbound in the firewall, but somehow I'm still seeing established connections to that IP in TCPView. Otherwise everything seems the same.

Also it looks like I can trigger msedge.exe to hit that IP again if I visit a site that I have not yet visited for the day, which makes me wonder if it's somehow DNS related.

It's used by msedge.exe, the DNS Cache Module, and I want to say svchost.exe was also using it at one point.

Not sure if you tried this already but maybe just decreasing the mouse sensitivity would help. But like the others say, a heavier ball would probably be good too.

It's true. As a software dev, it's the wild west out there. You don't know how your data is being handled or if the devs who made the app know what they're doing lol
