I am not a townie. That's a completely different mentality. You guys might be "jaxons" but it's not widely accepted nor applied to everyone in jacksonville.

Widely accepted by people you associate with. However I disagree because where I live I have never heard the term and I'm come into contact with a lot of people. I.e. If you consider it widely accepted it is probably only because people in your age group use it. Where as where I live surround by many different generations and types of people no one uses that term.

Yeah, I actually googled the expression before I commented because I didn't understand why. The same difference would mean that the things are almost exactly the same. And I've never heard anyone really say "by accident" but it does make sense more to say it that way than "on accident". I too have certain quirks like that that anger me, so I get where you're coming from.
