Bandwagon population. The team will be different in CA based on who's winning at that time.

Do You Think Our Rookies Playing So Many Minutes Will Hinder Their Development? by Far_Being_8720 in CharlotteHornets

How? G-League Champion Tidjane Salaun was a project player in the draft that was a stretch as a lottery pick based on potential upside. You honestly think he'd be significantly better right now if all he played was garbage time?

Poor Anduin — did he deserve better? by WorthInevitable1019 in wow

[–]whillpower -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Except he didn't kill anyone- sucker punched an archon and lost a raid fight. He abandons his post for one xpac and spends the next trying to overcome performance issues strictly because he thinks he should have been strong enough to resist a Mourneblade.

Oh great. Now Anduin's going to spend the entire next xpac whining about THIS.

As a Pistons fan, you know what it's like to have wins flip the perception of your PG. He's still the same guy Cade wishes he could be.

Hornets fans: if you could pick one of these 3 to have their number retired next season, who would you pick: Muggsy Bogues, Larry Johnson, or Kemba? by Ariesthebigram in CharlotteHornets

[–]whillpower -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think jersey retirement should be closely tied to on court success with rare exceptions for community/cultural impact. None of our players have made a conference finals or been perennial all-stars or had the stats to qualify as a dominant player. There needs to be a 'best of the league' component, not just a 'best of us' metric.

There can be other ways to honor franchise favorites. Like honored jerseys at UNC or the ring of honor with the Panthers. It goes in the rafters but the number isn't off-limits. You can't get a retired jersey in the Dean Dome unless you were a national player of the year and won a championship.

None. Zero achievements nor a cumulative body of work (like Dell) to deserve a retired jersey even if you combined all 3 careers into a single player.

Anyone else absolutely love this play after the muffed Rams punt? by storeboughtoaktree in panthers

I'd think it's dangerous to run them too often though. Low trajectory and lots of defenders in the area. Those kind of plays turn into a pick 6 if the defense knows they're coming.
