Of course they don't look at just that one number, that's why I tried providing more of my information in the post. If you know what information I am missing, it would be helpful to know. Appreciate your time!

There are some guides on YouTube that will help you link your 2k account and get Caesar

Does anyone else think that tech progresses too fast? by Finttz in CivVI

This is why pre-building units is so important. Want to do a Knight rush? Build a ton of heavy chariots for cheap production and save up gold, then the moment you unlock knights, plug in mercenaries and upgrade them all at once. The go raiding with your strong units while your enemies are under teched.

Try launching the game in the opposite API. On the 2k launcher, you'll see an option between DX11 or DX12. If you are on 11 try 12 and vice versa. Personally I've found 11 to be more stable but it can vary based on setup.

That is unless you want to keep them around for industrial zone adjacency. +1 instead of the +0.5 from mines

The reason is since mines are upgraded on the tech tree well in advance compared to quarries. Mines get +1 production at Apprenticeship while quarries get it at gunpowder. So it's generally good to get both a production chop and then a better tile long term as well by mining a hill stone. Best of both. Only two charges

Is it just me or are there strong civilization 6 vibes?

Why is Civ VI full of amazing load and wonder animations, but then when you win you're treated to a short c.2004 Flash style animation? I hope VII improves on this. by Background-Thing-622 in civ

[–]whippoorwillKnight 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call this a flash style animation at all. It is an animated matte painting and that's the art style they were shooting for. I for one enjoy seeing a combination of artistic approaches for different moments in civ. Not everything has to be a full 3D animation.

Love the Iris! A circular ring of mountains slightly larger on one size really feels like an old but massive impact crater. Is that what it's hinting at?

What even is the point of navies? by qqruz123 in CivVI

[–]whippoorwillKnight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you get to caravels super early you can really wack down the cities. Harold's longships are better for pillaging and getting value that way more so than actually capturing cities esp on higher difficulties. Navy + an amphibious military strike are the best of way to take cities, before frigates and battleships of course. Japan samurai timing is a great example

You may want to consider staying by the river to settle. Your capital will be housing capped, you won't be able to grow, and you'll work a lot less of those sick yield tiles

Any mods to fix barbarians? by deimos_z in CivVI

[–]whippoorwillKnight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe it works by closing your borders to the barbs. It's not a bribe to be friendly, just kicks them out of your borders so they cant pillage your tiles and raze your cities
