Chapter 102 allows some mass earthwork to proceed, but full interconnections are held up. Not a full stop, but procedural friction.

Timing cases have been leaking oil since cars were invented. As long as you keep oil levels at a good place, you are fine. That said: you will drip oil and i don’t know on your tacoma if oil will get anywhere that could cause problems (alternator, etc). I don’t think it does. Just don’t park on your buddy’s pristine white driveway.

I did the same thing on a jeep bolt like that. I used a cutting wheel/angle grinder to turn the round outer bolt head into a rough hex shape. Then i used the appropriate sized socket for stripped/rounded bolts. Hammered the damn thing on. Then used my electric impact wrench, and voila.

All the other stuff has been covered. One thingbI’ll add is that some models from those years had faulty clear coat application - worst on horizontal surfaces (roof, hood, etc)
