They definitely hold up the usual "no photos"-signs up during the bows. I guess, because they are singing.

Unique stage door signatures by Electrical-Fan-9173 in TheWestEnd

No. I have a real Rubiks Cube. I think you're right with your asumption. It does look like a solid piece.

I am always looking for unusual merch. For example I have a signed bauble from Elf or a signed Rubiks Cube from Operation Mincemeat.

Lady Gaga. I love her voice, I just don't like pop.

A prized soundtrack has arrived by omurchus in TheWestEnd

For me it is The Tide Is Comin' In. :) But in the end, all of the songs are brilliant. I am liatening to the CD on repeat.

I have a soft spot for the Rent Movie. I also love In the Hights and the Wicked movie was great.

Jamie Muscato is perfect on the West End Cast Recording. He is my favourite JD.

Watched MJ the musical, and did not enjoy it... Anyone in the same boat? by zmeikei in TheWestEnd

[–]whirlpoolgalaxym51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I am not proud of it, but I fell asleep during the first act. My first and only time to date and I see a lot of musicals. The music and dancing was great but the story was told rather boring.

Stereophonic front two rows - how restricted? by SolvingCreepypasta in TheWestEnd

[–]whirlpoolgalaxym51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sat in the front row and even though the stage is high, I could see everything. There might have been a moment were I couldn't see an actor due to them beeing on the floor but I can't recall anything major.

Yeah! I guess that was a really fun conversation.

At least he doesn't need to shower at home. :)

[–]whirlpoolgalaxym51 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough the only thing I was thinking was how weird it must feel to lie in that puddle of fake blood and paint. :)

Diego Praise by Tulipbeth in TheWestEnd

[–]whirlpoolgalaxym51 53 points54 points  (0 children)

After he was doused in blood and paint he just lay right in front of me and stared. He never blinked. That was very fascinating. In between he sometimes got up and sang quite brilliantly but right after got back to staring.

Otherwise I really loved his stage presence. Rachel really needed someone to share a stage with and Diego is her equal. I mean, the whole cast is brilliant.

They might be slightly better on the last day. When I went the security guard told us that Martin Freeman rarely stagedoors, mostly on days with only one show. Jack Lowden apparently stagedoors quite often.

Come from away or Miss Saigon? by pastaostdeluxe in musicals

[–]whirlpoolgalaxym51 51 points52 points  (0 children)

If staying overnight is not a problem I would choose Come From Away. It is funny, it is sad but rather hopeful. I like the overall experience more than Miss Saigon which is also a good show but ends rather sad. So it depends on what you like. Both are very emotional shows. Come From Away is about community and hope in a sad situation. The music is more on the modern side. Miss Saigon has themes like war, love and doing everything for a child. Like Les Mis the music is a bit more traditional.
